Chapultepec Forest ist mit einer Fläche von 647 Hektar eine der größten Oasen Mexikos. Der Eingang zum Wald zeigt uns das Denkmal für die Helden der Kinder. Wir stehen vor der Herausforderung, den kleinen Hügel zu besteigen, der von der Burg Chapultepec gekrönt ist, die ein kaiserlicher Palast und eine Präsidentenresidenz war.
Dieses Weltklasse-Museum befindet sich in einer Erweiterung des Bosque de Chapultepec und ist ein Highlight des CDMX-Besuchs. Der lange, rechteckige Innenhof ist an drei Seiten von zweistöckigen Ausstellungshallen umgeben. Die 12 Salas (Säle) im Erdgeschoss sind dem vorspanischen Mexiko gewidmet, während Salas auf höherer Ebene zeigen, wie die indigenen Nachkommen Mexikos heute leben, wobei sich die zeitgenössischen Kulturen direkt über den Zivilisationen ihrer Vorfahren befinden. Das riesige Museum bietet mehr als die meisten Menschen in einem einzigen Besuch aufnehmen können.
Das liebevoll El Ángel genannte Unabhängigkeitsdenkmal an der Reforma Avenue in Mexiko-Stadt ist ein unverkennbares Symbol der mexikanischen Hauptstadt. Golden und herrlich schwebt die geflügelte Siegesstatue über dem Verkehr, dem Chaos, den Protesten und den Touristen, die jeden Tag unter ihren Füßen vorbeiziehen.
Das Alameda Central ist der großartige Stadtpark von Mexiko-Stadt. Das Alameda ist einer der ältesten Stadtparks in Nord- und Südamerika und seit mehr als 400 Jahren in guten und schlechten Zeiten ein Symbol der Stadt.
Der Palacio de Bellas Artes (Palast der Schönen Künste) ist ein bedeutendes Kulturzentrum in Mexiko-Stadt. Hier fanden einige der bedeutendsten Veranstaltungen in den Bereichen Musik, Tanz, Theater, Oper und Literatur statt und es fanden wichtige Ausstellungen zu Malerei, Skulptur und Fotografie statt. Daher wurde der Palacio de Bellas Artes als "Kathedrale der Kunst in Mexiko" bezeichnet.
Mexiko-Stadt wurde aus einer kleinen Insel in der Mitte des Sees erbaut und wuchs mit einem Netzwerk von Kanälen und künstlichen Inseln. Der Templo Mayor nahm Gestalt an. Die Spanier bauten darauf die Metropolitan Cathedral und die Erinnerung an den alten und imposanten vorspanischen Tempel ging für Jahrhunderte verloren.
In diesem grandiosen Kolonialpalast sehen Sie Wandgemälde von Diego Rivera (gemalt zwischen 1929 und 1951), die die mexikanische Zivilisation von der Ankunft von Quetzalcóatl (dem aztekischen gefiederten Schlangengott) bis zur Zeit nach der Revolution darstellen. Die neun Wandmalereien, die die Nord- und Ostwände der 1. Ebene über dem Patio bedecken, dokumentieren das indigene Leben vor der spanischen Eroberung.
Die Metropolitan Cathedral ist ohne Zweifel eines der wichtigsten Gebäude im historischen Zentrum von Mexiko-Stadt. Neben seiner religiösen Bedeutung enthält es eine Zusammenfassung der mexikanischen Kunst und Architektur aus fünf Jahrhunderten. Auf den Überresten eines aztekischen Tempels im Zentrum der aztekischen Hauptstadt Tenochtitlan erbaut, bauten die kolonisierenden Spanier die großartigste Kirche in ganz Amerika. Seine imposante Größe, faszinierende Geschichte und schöne Kunst und Architektur machen dieses Gebäude zu einem der herausragendsten des Landes.

Excellent tour of Mexico City. It was great that we could visit the most important places in Mexico City in one day. The guide was excellent, with a lot of knowledge of Mexican history and flexible to go at our pace.
Tour was excellent I had a great time! Jacqueline gave sufficient history background but we also had a good casual chat the entire day. I also liked the restaurant she brought me to, very authentic. Lastly, she was patient enough to take Iots of photos of me haha I definitely recommend!

This tour was a lot of fun. My friend and I had been to a lot of the places before, but the guide still gave us new information during his explanation of the history behind the buildings and the city. He took pictures for us and gave us plenty of time to look around. He was thoughtful of the order we visited things so we avoided the rush of school children coming, so we never had large crowds anywhere we went. At the end of the day, he allowed us to stop for an unscheduled ritual going on in our path back to the car. It w as perfect because my friend and I flew home the next day. That ritual is one of the most memorable experiences I have from my trip. I highly recommend this tour.

We were not able to take this tour because the company cancelled at 1am the evening prior to our tour. After paying with a credit card, they contacted me directly to pay in pesos for a 15% discount. After declining to pay in pesos, my tour was cancelled a few hours later with no explanation.
Hello Adam. Thank you for your comments but in this case It is not accurate what you are saying since as a viator provider you can not cancel a tour before 11 pm in the system. Despite this I offer you a sincere apologize since the guide you had asigned told us that night she would not be able to do the tour since she had a problem (something out of our control), and that night we were trying to get another guide that had worked with us (to ensure an amazing experience) but all were already assigned to other tours. I´m sorry no one explained this to you, we will improve the communication with our clients when some change happen. Regards.
Jorge did a wonderful job taking two disabled ladies around Mexico City. He and our driver, Gabriel, managed to fit both of us and rollator walkers into their vehicle and tailored the experience to our mobility and energy levels. I would highly recommend this tour for the interesting tidbits of knowledge, the ease of getting around, and the flexibility. Although CDMX itself was amazing and this tour covered all the essentials you should go see - was not a fan of the tour guide. Poor decisions such as choosing a restaurant for tacos that required being stuck in a car during rush hour traffic was not appreciated, especially when I was hungry. We could have just chosen a street vendor at one of the tour stops but I didn't want to be rude in suggesting that. Did not follow instructions when I chose a bakery as my pickup instead of hotel - which caused additional delays at the beginning. Kept quizzing me about history at almost every stop despite me telling him I wasn't much of a history person and would appreciate him just explaining vs making me feel stupid at every count. Definitely not worth the price for such lack of professionalism and perfectionism - I've travelled to 26 countries and 13 of those solo, and had way better tours for a small fraction of this price.
