Sie treffen einen lizenzierten Reiseleiter am Haupttor in Pompeji, nach dem Kauf der Tickets beginnt die Tour und Sie werden von dem Reiseleiter durch die Ruinen dieser atemberaubenden antiken Stadt geführt.
Dieses Tor bietet Zugang zum Westen der Stadt und ist das beeindruckendste unter den sieben Toren von Pompeji.
Das Forum ist das Herzstück des täglichen Lebens der Stadt und der Mittelpunkt aller wichtigen öffentlichen Gebäude für Stadtverwaltung und Justiz, Geschäftsverwaltung und Handelsaktivitäten wie Märkte sowie die wichtigsten Andachtsstätten der Bürger.
Dieser Bereich wurde für die Durchführung von Geschäften und für die Ausübung der Justiz genutzt. Der Zugang erfolgt vom Forum aus über fünf Eingänge, die durch Tuff-Säulen voneinander getrennt sind.
Dies war ein kleiner Kochladen, in dem warme Speisen verkauft wurden.
Es ist eines der größeren Häuser von Pompeji, das einen ganzen Block von ca. 3000 m2 umfasst und, gemäß ursprünglichem Plan, auf das 2. Jahrhundert v. Chr. zurückgeht.
Das Haus, eines der reichsten und berühmtesten in Pompeji, steht unter dem Schutz von Priapus, dem Gott des Wohlstands. Er wurde rechts neben die Tür gemalt und symbolisiert den wirtschaftlichen Erfolg der Eigentümer, die Brüder Abulus Vettius Restitutus und Abulus Vettius Conviva Liberti, die durch den Handel reich wurden.
Die Therme befindet sich auf der linken Seite, während rechts eine Kolonnade zu den Herrenquartieren führt, die in das Apodyterium (Ankleideraum) mit dem Frigidarium (für Kaltbäder) aufgeteilt werden, das zum Tepidarium (für Bäder mittlerer Temperatur) und dann zum Kalidarium (für heiße Bäder) führt.
Das Große Theater wurde unter Ausnutzung des natürlichen Gefälles des Hügels für den Bau des Auditoriums errichtet. Die Treppe wurde in drei Bereiche mit Korridoren unterteilt, die wiederum in fünf Sektoren unterteilt waren, und basiert auf einem Durchgang mit einem Tonnengewölbe.

Der Naturpfad Nr. 5 „Il Gran Cono“ beginnt an der Piazzale (Platz) auf einer Höhe von 1.000 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel in der Gemeinde Herculaneum am Ende der Provinzstraße Ercolano-Vesuvio. Derzeit beherbergt die Piazzale einen Parkplatz für diejenigen, die mit dem Auto kommen. Bevor Sie den Aufstieg beginnen, können Sie einen der Info-Punkte des Vesuv-Nationalparks besuchen, wo Sie nützliche Informationen über die geschützte Gegend erhalten und eine Karte kaufen können. Von der Piazzale aus können Sie bereits einen herrlichen Blick auf die nördliche Seite des Berges Soma mit den Cognoli von Sant'Anastasia und Punta Nasone genießen, dem Gipfel des antiken Vulkans, der 1.132 Meter hoch ist, gegenüber den Cognoli von Ottaviano und Levante. Während Sie nach oben schauen, können Sie den Atem anhalten und von unten sehen, was der Aufstieg zum unteren Rand des Sterminator Vesevo sein wird.

We had an amazing day visiting Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Mount Vesuvius with Antonino. From the moment he picked us up at our hotel, everything was easy and stress-free. Antonino knows these sites incredibly well, but what really stood out was how great he was with our 8-year-old daughter. He kept her engaged the whole day, which honestly surprised us considering how much history we covered! He made everything fun and interesting for her while still giving us plenty of information. He also paid attention to all the little things. There was always cold water waiting for us when we got back to the van, which was much appreciated in the heat. He kept candies in the van for our daughter throughout the day, and at the end of the tour he gave her the whole bag. Such a small gesture, but it absolutely made her day, and she's still talking about it. This ended up being one of our favorite experiences in Italy. If you're thinking about doing Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Vesuvius, I'd highly recommend booking with Antonino. We'd gladly tour with him again.
Antonino was a wonderful guide for our day. He made sure to customize the day to our liking, and the information he presented was helpful, interesting, and accurate. As we started the tour, we disclosed our prior knowledge of the Latin language and classical world, and he easily adjusted what he spoke about and what he showed us/emphasized at each of the sites to match our knowledge. He made the sites interesting for our teenage sons and actively and warmly engaged them in what we were seeing. He provided as many water bottles as we wanted in the unrelenting July heat and he recommended a restaurant where we could eat a quick, casual lunch before continuing the tour. We had a truly remarkable day with Antonino. Communication was fabulous from my first enquiry and the price was very reasonable for what we did. We were picked up promptly from our accommodation in Sorrento in a very comfortable mini-van. Antonio’s driving was very smooth and safe and he regularly checked in on how we were. He provided a lot of great information about the sites, pre-booked our entry tickets and expertly guided us around the Herculaneum and Pompeii. He offered flexibility regarding Mt Vesuvius and was accommodating to our needs on the day. Overall we couldn’t have been happier and highly recommend this company and tour.

What a great day of learning - in style! Antonio is extremely professional, kind and knowledgeable! He took care of every detail from hotel pickup, site tickets and addressed multiple learning styles using pictures, stories and data! We were able to get Vesuvius tickets and his colleague (equally as professional) drove us there and we hiked up on our own. For sure it was a long day as we covered a lot of ground so make sure you are rested before you go as the temp was high. Antonio also took us to a most quaint family restaurant where we enjoyed drinks and amazing salads - just perfect for our needs!
