Wir besuchen den beeindruckenden archäologischen Komplex von Tipón, ein wichtiges Kultzentrum, in dem die Inkas Wasser verehrten, eines der Naturelemente, die in der andinen Kosmologie als heilig gelten. Wasser fließt durch Kanäle und durchquert Terrassen und Wasserfälle.
Als nächstes begeben wir uns zum archäologischen Komplex von Pikillacta, dem städtischen Zentrum der Huari aus der Zeit vor der Inkazeit. Sie werden feststellen, dass sich die Konstruktionen hier deutlich von den Inka-Konstruktionen unterscheiden.
Wir fahren weiter in die Stadt Andahuaylillas, wo Sie ihre Kirche aus dem 16. Jahrhundert sehen werden, die aufgrund der Fülle an Gemälden an Wänden und Decke als „Sixtinische Kapelle Amerikas“ bekannt ist. Another day of tour with a lot of enlightenment. Knowing the culture of a people that makes you try to imagine how those people lived. What most impressed me were the buildings where the Incas and the Wari lived.

It was a very pleasant surprise. It was our last day in Cusco and it seemed like we have seen it all already. However, finding out more about the Wari people, and seeing the remains of their city was astonishing. Everything else was fine. Our guide semmed to know a lot, however she semmed to be a little bit more bossy than what she should be. She was showing a chapel and compared it to the Sistine chapel, and a family asked about the Sistine chapel. She said something like “how come you don’t know about the Sistine chapel”. She was a little intimidating…
