First, our guide Alejandro was fantastic and very accommodating. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the indigenous people who live there. We had a great time visiting the ruins at Mitla, which are some of the best preserved I’ve seen. The intricate geometric patterns and placement of the structure will astound you. Weavers Town was so educational and entertaining. We learned so much about how natural dyes are made and then applied to yarns to create the plethora of colors used in their products. The painstaking process is very impressive and we purchased a few things at their shop that we will treasure forever. Hierve el Agua is an amazing sight to behold and there are so many photographic opportunities with tons of lookout points along the trials. Hint: Take the longer trail if you can. It’s difficult, but we’ll work the effort for the views you will be rewarded with. Cheers!
I can’t recommend Kevin enough—truly the best guide a girl could ask for. From the moment we started, he was incredibly kind, warm, and genuinely hospitable. He constantly went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable, always asking if I wanted photos (and happily taking them), and even offering to hold my purse so I could fully enjoy the experience without worrying about anything. Beyond that, Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and brought Oaxaca to life in such an engaging, thoughtful way. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and at ease the entire time, which meant a lot. His attention to detail and care didn’t go unnoticed—he was always one step ahead, making sure everything was smooth and enjoyable. I ended up booking him again for the following day, which says everything. If you’re looking for someone who is not only informative but also genuinely kind, attentive, and willing to go above and beyond, Kevin is your person.
Thanks for all the details you shared with us about the way you feel being a person who travel to many places and you feel comfortable here touring around, is important to know you had a great time being a solo traveler I hope you come back and we can help you again to discover other places
My friend and I had the pleasure of two amazing days with Kevin our tour guide. He isn't simply a driver to bring you from place to place. This amazing man took the time to help us connect with the people from various regions across Oaxaca. I feel like I have a grasp on what it means to be a Oaxaquena thanks to him. We had the pleasure of meeting multiple very small ancestral mezcal producers, finding out our spirit animals (chameleon/monkey), enjoying great bites, increase our knowledge of the area, practice our Spanish, and most importantly share great laughs along the way. Kevin didn't leave anything on the court and he deserves the best in life. I wouldn't think twice about booking tours with these guys. Definitely ask for Kevin though!
Thanks for your comments We make an effort to have an idea about what you are interested for and in the last moment when we can meet you we get the opportunity to personalize the tour according to your interest, I'm happy that you have had a great time with Kevin he is a Really nice Guy
Our private tour with Kevin was outstanding. After he self-taught himself English, he started giving tours. For a guide in his first month, he provided us with an excellent tour. He was extremely knowledgeable and very attentive to our needs. The ruins at Mitla were very interesting and the Tule Tree with its surrounding gardens was spectacular. Mario’s explanation and demonstration of Zapotec weaving was one of the best we have heard about dying wool. Over the years, we have had tours by many guides, Kevin’s accomplishment this early in his career is amazing.
Thanks for your comments, it is important for us to know that you feel confortable with our guides/friends who make an effort to make your visit special. We hope to see you again soon
The best tours I enjoy for my husband, we are from California. Thank you for the kindness and knowledge and availability of the guide Jairo Hurtado. Thank you.
Muchas gracias por su visita, el tiempo que compartieron con nosotros y la oportunidad de enseñarles parte de los atractivos de Oaxaca en un honor poder acompañarlos en este viaje. Nos vemos pronto
My boyfriend and I came to Oaxaca to celebrate my birthday, and we had an unforgettable experience! Kevin was an excellent English and Spanish tour guide. He always kept the temperature perfect in the car, and always came with water for us to be able to drink. He took us to the most incredible artisanal spots, and delicious restaurants! Was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer every question we had. I really wanted a Oaxacan tamal before leaving and Kevin made sure I was able to find some before departing, making the trip extra special! Excellent service! Can’t wait to come back and book more tours with Kevin!
Thanks for all the details that really help us to know that with your help of letting us know what you wanted to do and taste Kevin was able to provide and help you on your expectations thanks for your visit and if you come back please let us know

We toured with Antonio of Wanderlust for two days and for airport transfers. He was outstanding - very knowledgeable and personable. We travel extensively and often use private tour guides. Antonio was excellent and as strong as any guides we’ve used over the years. In addition he drives.
