Unsere Mission ist es, Ihre Zufriedenheit zu garantieren und Ihnen das Portugal der Portugiesen in Kleingruppenreisen mitzuteilen. Wir müssen eine entspannte und authentische Umgebung bieten, in der der Wechsel von Erfahrungen und Wissen ein wesentlicher Bestandteil der gesamten Reise ist. Wir lieben das, was wir tun und wo wir leben und möchten diese Leidenschaft mit denen teilen, die uns besuchen. Am Ende des Tages ist es unser höchstes Vergnügen zu erkennen, dass sich unsere Besucher auch verliebt fühlen. Die kombinierte Fahr- und Wandertour, von der wir denken, ist eine sehr vollständige Möglichkeit, Lissabon zu besuchen und eine vollständige Vorstellung von der Stadt zu haben.

Reiseverlauf
Wir beginnen die Tour zum Santa Justa Lift, einem der Wahrzeichen von Lissabon, einem wunderschönen Aufzug im neogotischen Stil, der im 19. Jahrhundert von Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard gebaut wurde. Die Aussicht von oben erlaubt uns, die gesamte Innenstadt von Lissabon, das Schloss und die Kathedrale von Lissabon zu sehen.
Nach dem Lift fahren wir am Chiado vorbei und fahren entlang des Flusses nach Belém, dem imperealistischen und monumentaleren Teil von Lissabon. Wir sprechen über die Geschichte der portugiesischen Entdeckungen am Meer und über die wichtigen Navigatoren wie Vasco da Gama und Pedro Álvares Cabral. An diesem Punkt besuchen wir die beeindruckende Kathedrale von St. Maria de Belém, eine der schönsten gotischen Kathedralen Portugals.
Jetzt ist es an der Zeit, den berühmten portugiesischen Pastel de Nata zu probieren, einen Coustard-Törtchen, der warm in diesem berühmten Café serviert wird, das dieses Produkt seit 1837 herstellt, nach einem alten Rezept der Mönche, die früher nebenan wohnten.
Jetzt ist es an der Zeit, mit dem Auto zur Flussseite zu fahren und zum Turm von Belém, einer weiteren großen Ikone Lissabons, zu fahren und den portugiesischen Stil, den manuelinischen Stil, zum Ausdruck zu bringen
Anschließend begeben wir uns zu dem erstaunlichen Entdeckungsdenkmal, einer riesigen Statue, die im Jahr 1940 erbaut wurde, um alle an der Entdeckungszeit beteiligten Personen zu ehren, auf jeden Fall unsere goldene Ära.
Nachdem wir Belém verlassen haben, verlassen wir Lissabon für eine kurze Zeit und fahren in die Stadt Almada, genau dort am Südrand des Tejo. Bei der Brücke am 25. April erreichen wir dieses Heiligtum mit dem besten und schöneren Panoramablick auf Lissabon (Sie können auf die 100 m hohe Statue gehen).
Jetzt ist Mittagspause, wir fahren nach Cacilhas, dem Pier von Almada, wo Sie die besten Meeresfrüchte in Lissabon und Umgebung bekommen können.
Nach dem Mittagessen kehren wir nach Lissabon zurück und fahren in die Altstadt von Lissabon, entlang des Flusses, vorbei an Alcântara, dem Viertel Santos und dem Platz Cais do Sodré mit dem berühmten Time Out Market. Bevor wir den Gipfel des Graça-Hügels besteigen, passieren wir den Comercio-Platz, den größten und prachtvollsten Platz in Lissabon, direkt neben dem Fluss.
Nachdem wir den Fluss verlassen und das Schloss und den Graça-Hügel hinaufgegangen sind, kommen wir an der Kathedrale von Lissabon vorbei, einem romanischen Gebäude, das im 12. Jahrhundert erbaut wurde und zum ältesten noch genutzten Monument in Lissabon wurde. Auf dem Weg nach Graça kommen wir an der Besichtigung von Portas do Sol vorbei, direkt unter der Burg von Lissabon.
Wenn wir den Gipfel des Graça-Hügels erreichen, halten wir am Aussichtspunkt Senhora do Monte, um die Schönheit der Stadt zu nutzen, die sich entlang der Hügel bis zum Fluss erstreckt.
Last but not least parken wir das Auto und machen einen Spaziergang durch das Viertel Alfama, das älteste und authentischere in Lissabon. Wir können die Authentizität des Ortes beeinträchtigen und den sozialen Kontext von Hunderten von Generationen verstehen, die an diesem Ort vorbeigezogen und dort gelebt haben. Hier wurde Fado-Musik geboren. Am Ende des Spaziergangs halten wir am Fado Museum und der Guide bringt das Auto für die Abholung.

We had an amazing day exploring Lisbon with Joao! He was punctual, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s history and culture. What really stood out was how he took us beyond the usual tourist spots — showing us local favorites and hidden gems we never would’ve found on our own. Joao’s passion for Lisbon made the whole experience special, and he tailored the day perfectly to our interests. If you want to truly see the heart of the city and learn from someone who loves it, I can’t recommend Joao enough!

Our tour of Sintra with Joao was incredible! His knowledge, sense of humor and warmth made the day truly unforgettable! The gorgeous scenery, delicious food and learning the history of this beautiful region was special. We didn’t feel like we were on an “tour” but traveling with a local friend. Travel can be challenging in general, but traveling with special needs requires additional adaptability and patience. We can be hesitant if not outright skeptical of adventures with my son and (autistic) daughter in unfamiliar places. But Joao changed all that... Over the course of seven days, we toured Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Cabo de Roca, Óbidos, Aveiro, Porto, and a brief excursion to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. Over that period, we had an air flight delay (upon arrival), (limited) attraction closures due to the possibility of forest fires, and other uncontrollable circumstances. It didn't matter. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Joao knows Portugal and can pivot with the best of them! He will pay attention as he gets to know his clients, propose adjustments or share his personal insights to not just guide you - but acclimate you to Portugal. His grasp of the country - its culture, economy, history, gastronomy, night life, influence on other countries, etc. - is limitless. We always had a reasonable game plan for the day, but flexibility to adjust based on my daughter's capabilities. It's also important to note that Joao was curious. He (respectfully) asked questions to learn more about my daughter and how she saw things, processed her surroundings, etc. It showed me that he wanted to make this an unforgettable experience for her - and he was going to figure it out! As for my son, they loved quizzing each other on geography, politics, and generally laughing along the way. Joao shared stories of his adventures with his children and we all felt like we were no longer with a tour operator but a family friend. We were traveling with extended family on this trip, and we all had positive, reaffirming moments where Joao took time to connect, to share and to engage. We are so glad that we had this adventure in Portugal, but we are truly grateful that our family had it with Joao.

My extended family (7 of us) were treated royally by Joao who managed to plan and execute an ambitious 9-day tour of Lisbon, Sintra, Porto, Obidos, Evora and Galicia (ES), such that a couple in their golden years were just as entertained as their 13-year-old grandson. Joao is gregarious, engaging and acutely sensitive to the needs of his clients, adapting with grace and facility to contingencies. While the trip was planned to almost every detail, his wit, charm and persistence secured favorable outcomes for us with vendors he knows and does not know (e.g. last-minute tables, tickets, etc.). His encyclopedic knowledge of Portuguese history, culture and international affairs sparked spirited dialogue with mutual respect and learning during our long drives and tours. Most of all, Joao's passion and love for his home country is infectious and left us with a keen interest in returning to explore more (hopefully with him)! Go Green!
