Eine Festung aus dem 18. Jahrhundert wurde im Zweiten Weltkrieg in ein jüdisches Ghetto und Nazi-Politgefängnis verwandelt - erleben Sie es und erfahren Sie mehr über einen traurigen wahren Teil der europäischen Geschichte, die die ganze Welt beeinflusst hat. Das Konzentrationslager Terezin liegt strategisch nahe Prag (45-60 Autominuten). Sie lernen die Geschichte des Zweiten Weltkriegs kennen - den Unterschied zwischen Konzentrations- und Todeslager, Psychologie der Nazipropaganda, die die Wahrheit vor dem Rest der Welt verbirgt, politisches Gefängnis der Gestapo, individuelle persönliche Geschichten, Leben und Kultur im jüdischen Ghetto. Die Stadt ist in zwei Teile geteilt: ehemaliges Gestapo-Politgefängnis (später kommunistisches Gefängnis) und jüdisches Ghetto, das als "eine Stadt, die Juden von Adolf Hitler für die Kriegszeit gegeben wurde" präsentiert wird. Sie sehen das ehemalige Gestapo-Gefängnis, das Jüdische Museum Ghetto, ein jüdisches Wohnheim, die Magdeburger Kaserne (Kulturmuseum im Ghetto) und vieles mehr. Danach genießen Sie tschechisches Mittagessen in einer lokalen Brauerei (inklusive).

Ihr privater Führer und Fahrer holt Sie an Ihrem Prager Platz ab und nach 45-60 Minuten komfortabler Fahrt erreichen Sie das Konzentrationslager Terezin. Es liegt strategisch nahe Prag. Zuerst werden Sie durch die Kleine Festung Terezin geführt, die ein politisches Gefängnis der Gestapo (später ein kommunistisches Gefängnis) war - die Gefängniszellen, Duschen und Spaziergang durch die Tunnel der Festung. Sehen Sie sich den Propagandafilm über "Jüdisches Paradies" an - gefälschte Darstellung durch Nazis im Vergleich zur grausamen Realität im Lager.
Nach dem Besuch des Museums des ehemaligen jüdischen Ghettos (Materialien, Videos mit einzelnen Geschichten von Menschen, die im Ghetto leben) werden Sie durch das jüdische Ghetto geführt, um mehr vom Leben im Ghetto zu erfahren. Bitte beachten Sie : Krematorium, Kolumbarium und Zeremonienräume sind samstags geschlossen.
Kultur im Konzentrationslager macht das ehemalige Ghetto Terezin zu einem Ort scharfer Kontraste. In diesen Baracken (ehemaliger Sitz des jüdischen Verwaltungsrates) lernt man verschiedene Bereiche der Kultur kennen (Musik, Grafik, Literatur, Theater), trifft einzelne Autoren und sieht ein Modell von Wohnheimen. Bei Interesse (fakultativ) besuchen wir Krematorium, Kolumbarium (ehemalige Lagerung der Asche), Leichenhalle und Zeremonienräume (alles samstags geschlossen). Anschließend genießen Sie köstliches tschechisches Mittagessen in einer lokalen Brauerei (inklusive).

I can't say enough wonderful things about this tour. Michal was an absolute delight We were traveling with 80 year old parents with limited mobility and Michal was amazing about making sure they enjoyed the tour as much as we did. Tour is completely private which is nice as he catered the tour to our wants. He is so knowledgeable of Terezin and WWII. He took us to a local town for lunch where we enjoyed a traditional Czeck lunch, which was delicious. If you are wanting to visit the Terezin memorial, don't hesitate to book this tour. It is nice to see the memorial in a more intimate way versus a 40 person bus tour with a speaker to your ear. It was the best tour we did in our 2 week trip in Europe.
It was a great experience and we learnt a lot about Terezin and its history, our tour guide Michal was excellent and he explained us every thing what we needed to know about the place and showed us the most important parts of Terezin
This was an amazing tour! It lived up to all our expectations. Michal was an excellent tour guide and was able to get into much detail about the daily lives of those who suffered this terrible nightmare. I highly recommend Michael for any future tours. You will not be disappointed.
Michal guided us (a German and a Frenchwoman) through Theresienstadt. He empathically imparted his vast historical and cultural knowledge to us and sensitively accompanied us on this historically difficult walk. This was by far (!!) the best private tour we ever had. Also: it couldn't be easier, hotel pickup, comfortable, well-kept, large car, drinks on board and a nice lunch.

Michael was amazing! So personable and genuine, it was like taking a day trip with a friend. We all loved him! He is laid back and let's you govern the day you want. We wanted to sleep in some so we went later in the day. Although the tour is a solemn one, we all really enjoyed it! He is very knowledgeable about the subject, picked a wonderful place for lunch, and the transportation there was very comfy. THANKS MICHAEL!!
I had assumed that I would be on a bus with 20 people. Instead it turned out to be a private tour for an extremely reasonable price. Michal was very knowledgeable, had grown up locally, and provided me with a glimpse into Czech life on the way to Terezin. Once we got there, he provided an exceptional tour in the areas that was allowed, and then found me a private tour guide in the areas that were restricted. He tailored the tour to my knowledge and interests. After, he took me to a nearby town for an Czech lunch fit for local culture. All in all this was one of the best tours I have had.
