Our guide Nobby gave us an excellent private tour. Both his knowledge and passion for the subject matter is apparent. He is well-organized, communicating in advance to confirm meeting time and place, which was very helpful. Friendly and professional.
We met our tour guide right on time outside of the museum. He warmly greeted us and led us inside to begin the interesting, fascinating tour. He started at a timeline of Japanese history, giving us details about each era. As he guided us through the museum, he pointed out things of note and discussed them with us in his excellent English. We learned so much on this tour, and we really liked our tour guide, too. He was older, like us, and we learned that he used to work in banking/finance. I’m retired and my partner plans to retire soon. We appreciated our guide’s friendliness and knowledge. I’m so sorry that I don’t remember his name, but I highly recommend him. We were the only two people on this tour, which was nice for us because we could ask as many questions as we wanted and move at our own pace. I highly recommend this wonderful tour! Be sure to visit the gardens behind the museum. They are stunning.
Very informative and interesting. I recommend this activity for anyone visiting Tokyo. Beautiful museum and grounds.
great guide who gave very interesting info we could use for the rest of our trip Very valuabble to start your travels in Japan
This was an excellent way to see the museums. Our guide was Aki Miyato and he was excellent and also very interactive with the kids. I would view it as a whistle stop tour and you can definitely spend more time there.
Very knowledgeable and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyable 2 hour condensed introduction to Japanese history.
Maya I was an excellent guide and so knowledgeable about everything in the museum. We learned so much about the Buddhist artifacts from the Horyuji Temple. We really enjoyed that part of the tour. The tour of the main museum was also excellent.
The museum tour was a great experience with Yoko as a guide. I learned a lot; Yoko is quite knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Highly recommended!
Knowledgeable, intelligent, articulate guide with excellent English skills. High value for money. Would certainly recommend without hesitation
My wife and I had a two hour tour of the Tokyo National Museum. Our guide, my apologies to him for not writing down his name, was excellent. He had great depth of knowledge, clearly enjoys his work, and engaged with us easily. He paced the tour extremely well and answered all our questions which allowed us to deepen our appreciation of the history of Japanese Art. It was our first visit to Toyko. I highly recommend this two hour tour as an excellent intro to Japanese Art. It is a huge museum and if you are interested, there is much to explore and appreciate.
