Das Castello Aragonese ist eine Festung, die auf einer Gezeiteninsel aus Trachytgestein an der Ostseite der Insel Ischia steht und durch eine 220 m lange Mauerbrücke mit dem antiken Dorf Celsa, bekannt als Ischia Ponte, verbunden ist. Die Insel, auf der die Burg errichtet wurde, ist das Ergebnis einer synaptischen Eruption vor über 300.000 Jahren. Es erreicht eine Höhe von 113 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel und umfasst eine Fläche von etwa 56.000 m². Geologisch gesehen handelt es sich um eine Magmablase, die sich bei Eruptionsphänomenen verfestigt hat und als „Stagnationskuppel“ definiert wird.
Sant'Angelo d'Ischia, in der Gemeinde Serrara Fontana, ist ein altes Fischerdorf, das sich vor der charakteristischen Insel Ischia erstreckt. Es ist das charakteristische mediterrane Dorf mit all den bunten Häusern, die auf dem Tuffsteinkamm des Berges aneinander gelehnt stehen und das wundervolle Panorama des kristallklaren Meeres von Ischia überblicken.
Es steht auf einem kleinen Vorgebirge mit Blick auf das Meer und ist dem Kult der Madonna della Neve gewidmet; Es ist weiß, fällt schon von weitem auf und repräsentiert die klassische mediterrane Bauweise. Auf dem Soccorso-Vorgebirge in Forio steht nicht nur die Kirche, daneben befindet sich auch der Torrione, das Wahrzeichen von Forio und Sitz des Museums.

Nunzio was a wonderful guide with easy pick up and drop off. He took us around, sharing interesting facts along the way. Great opportunities to swim along the way and see the caves. Wonderful hidden gem of a lunch stop, too. We also engaged Nunzio to take us for a sunset ride and to and from the Naples Airport. Excellent service!
