Das Arataki Visitor Centre ist ein einladendes Tor zu den Naturwundern der westlichen Region von Auckland. Das Zentrum dient sowohl als Bildungszentrum als auch als Ausgangspunkt für Outdoor-Begeisterte und spielt eine wichtige Rolle dabei, den Besuchern die unberührte Schönheit und das reiche kulturelle Erbe der Region näherzubringen.
Die Karekare-Wasserfälle liegen im westlichen Teil des Waitākere Ranges Regional Park, in der Nähe des Ortes Karekare, der als Drehort für den Film „Das Piano“ bekannt ist. Mit seiner atemberaubenden Umgebung und seiner guten Erreichbarkeit gilt dieser Wasserfall als eine der Naturattraktionen Neuseelands, die man unbedingt gesehen haben muss.
Der Mercer Bay Loop Track beginnt hoch über Piha und führt Sie zur Landzunge Te Ahua, dem Standort einer bedeutenden Māori-Pā (befestigte Siedlung), von wo aus man einen herrlichen Blick entlang der gesamten Westküste genießen kann.
Piha ist einer der bekanntesten schwarzen Sandstrände an der Westküste von Auckland. Piha ist Teil des Waitākere Ranges Regionalparks und ein beliebter Ort für Schwimmer und Surfer.

We had a wonderful experience on this private tour. Ken, our driver and guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and polite throughout the day. We never felt rushed and were able to spend as much time as we wanted at each stop, which made the experience so much more enjoyable. Ken was also very thoughtful, offering to take photos of us at most of the locations, and was always happy to help in any way he could. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and having the tour exclusively for the two of us made it feel relaxed, comfortable, and personalised. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a stress-free, enjoyable day with an excellent guide. Thank you, Ken, for making it such a memorable experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour today with our friendly host, Jonglok. As someone who is prone to motion sickness, I especially appreciated his smooth and careful driving, which made the journey very comfortable. It was wonderful to relax and take in the beautiful scenery at each stop without having to worry about driving ourselves. This is a fantastic morning tour and a great way to escape the city for a few hours. Highly recommended!
