Reiseverlauf
Diese Tour überquert die Grenze zwischen Westbelize und Guatemala. Der Grenzübergang bei uns ist einfach und wird von unserem Team unterstützt. Sie zahlen zunächst die Belize-Ausreisesteuer (20 USD) pro Person und erhalten einen Ausreisestempel in Ihrem Reisepass. Wir helfen Ihnen dann an der guatemaltekischen Grenze, wo Sie Ihren Einreisestempel erhalten. Der gesamte Grenzübertritt dauert etwa 30 Minuten.
Nach ca. 1 Stunde Fahrt innerhalb Guatemalas machen wir einen kurzen Stopp, um Fotos vom Petén Itzá See zu machen, einem der drei größten Seen Guatemalas.
Nach einer insgesamt 2-stündigen Fahrt von der Grenze kommen Sie zum Tikal Nationalpark, wo es Zeit ist, sich für Ihre geführte Tour vorzubereiten. Ihr lokaler Fachkundiger Tourleiter führt Sie durch die Höhepunkte der archäologischen Stätte Tikal, darunter die Große Plaza mit Tempel I und Tempel II, die Nordakropolis, die Zentralakropolis, Tempel III, Tempel IV und den Komplex der Verlorenen Welt. Sie haben freie Zeit, ausgewählte Tempel zu besteigen und Fotos von den besten Aussichtspunkten zu machen, wie von Ihrem Fortgeschrittener empfohlen. Während Sie entlang der Dschungelpfade spazieren, können Sie lokale Flora und Tierwelt wie Spinnenaffen, Brüllaffen, Mäntel, Truthähne, Tukane und viele andere Vogelarten beobachten. Nach einer ca. 3,5- bis 4-stündigen Führung wird es Zeit die Rückfahrt anzutreten.
Auf dem Rückweg von Tikal fahren wir ca. 30 Minuten zu einem lokalen Restaurant, um das inbegriffene Mittagessen zu genießen. Sie haben fünf Menüoptionen zur Auswahl, darunter vegetarische und vegane Optionen, wobei ein Getränk enthalten ist. Lehnen Sie sich zurück und genießen Sie Ihre Mahlzeit mit handgemachten Maistortillas.
Nach dem Mittagessen fahren wir ca. 1,5 Stunden zurück zur Grenze. Unser Team hilft Ihnen beim Grenzübertritt nach Belize. Beim Rückübertritt fallen keine Grenzgebühren an.

Our group had a wonderful time with Yumi and Israel. Yumi was a very fun, knowledgeable, friendly, personal guide. The sites were amazing and we were so glad we went. Would recommend to anyone.
We took a day trip to Tikal from San Ignacio with my parents. Our tour guide for the day was Sergio who made the trip really special!!! We loved the visit to the Tikal Mayan site. The history is breathtaking and truly a wonder of the world. The lunch that was provided was also delicious. We would definitely recommend this trip. Thank you Sergio!!
We did a day trip from our hotel in San Ignacio and had a great time. Everything was managed from drivers to guides. We had a little hiccup in our set up but we wouldn’t have even known and it made absolutely no difference to our day. In fact, we ended up interacting with two extra guides beyond our assigned one and got even more perspectives on the ruins. Had many laughs and a brilliant time touring these amazing ruins (would also say, if you are not sure whether Tikal is worth it, it absolutely is and having a guide is essential to get the full experience). Highly recommend the tour and the company that did it for us!
Our tour guide has lived in the Tikal his whole life and had incredible knowledge of the area and history. The visit to Tikal probably wouldn’t be worth it without the tour guide. He also took us down trails that the larger groups didn’t take so we always had a more personal experience

Great experience overall. From having a contact help with the Belize-Guatemala border crossing, to the drive to Tikal and meeting our guide was all done seamlessly. Our guide was very good, able to explain the history of the various sites as well as the plant and animal life around us. It made for a much better experience than if we went just ourselves. There is a fair amount of walking and stairs due to the scale of the ruins, so be ready for some exertion, but well worth the effort!
