Reiseverlauf

com the guide Amedeo I had a great time, very friendly and above all accommodated, helps you in everything you need, even if it has nothing to do with the tour!!🙏🙏
Our guide was very diligent and hard working. This was not a trip for the faint hearted in the July heat! A lot to fit in one day but so worth it to see these amazing pyramids. Such a privilege to have a private tour and very thorough explanation of ancient sites. Lunch was very nice if a little late.. there’s a lot to fit in so pack a piece of fruit. The pit stops at the papyrus museum with a demonstration was very interesting as was the perfumery; and a welcome break. We enjoyed these experiences but it can make the day very long so make sure you communicate your wishes to the guide and driver. They are very flexible and accommodating. It’s a good idea to be clear about how you want your day to flo. He could not have tried harder. So glad we did it!
I bought “Private Day Tour to Giza Pyramids, Memphis, Sakkara and Dahshur” for two adults, so I expected to visit all these mentioned places within this 8 hours tour. However, when we got on the car, our tour guide welcomed us and started explaining our itinerary, Giza Memphis Sakkara then perfumed and carpet factory. I told our guide the trip I bought does not include the visiting factories, but she insists that’s it is included, and I told her no it’s not and I don’t want to visit the factories. Then she said it’s okay we’ll see how things go later. So we started from Sakkara, and our guide made me pay for all car parking fees as well (I only realised parking fees are included after), she did make some introductions about each place we visit, but didn’t give me much time to walk around, I asked for more time to explore the place myself, but she always said that we need to visit other places too so there’s no enough time, I also ask what about Dahshur, that’s the most spot I look forward to, then she said it’s under construction, and many tourist has no interest in visiting too many pyramids, I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! …… and I only had like 20-30mins to walk around in every major places and I only had like 5-10 mins at Giza pyramids to take photos from far away, only at the last pyramids, she asked if I needed more time they can wait, so that was the only pyramid I actually walked around and enjoyed every angles. And lastly, to the Great Sphinx of Giza, she only gave me 2 mins standing from far away to take photos, cz the car cannot park on the side of road…. But I am seeing everyone else gets to walk to the Sphinx! Then we drove out she ask if I want to visit factory, I said no but asked if she can take us to the market instead, she said she had to ask the company and it’s best to visit market at night time, and it takes one hour to drive to the market….. so I decided we’ll just call it a day, and since my hotel is right next to the pyramid, the entire trip finished like before 2pm! Why the rush the whole day?! And she could have just leave us n let us visit the Sphinx before driving out! I feel like I’ve visited the pyramids, but not really visited! Driver was nice, guide talked nice too, but did not follow what the itinerary mentions, I dunno if they had a different one or not, but overall I am not happy!
My wife and I decided to book this private tour with Emo Tours (just the two of us plus the guide and driver) after seeing their high rating. We will never regret. The booking process and communication (on whatsapp, tour manager Zizo) were easy and occasional doubts were clarified swiftly. Payment was smooth as well. No hidden costs. The tour to Giza Pyramids & Sphinx, Saqqara, Dahshur and Memph was not only exactly as we hoped it would be, but our guide, Sharaf Suleimani, made it all unforgettable by proving to be a truly gifted teacher and a lovely person. Perfect for curious people like us! Be ready for some wild driving (but that‘s standard in Egypt anyway). We got to enter a minor pyramid in Saqqara as well as the Red Pyramid in Dahshur. The long descending climb is very tiring on the legs, but absolutely worth it (unless you are claustrophobic!) and probably the better choice over the Great Pyramid (Khufu/Cheops) at Giza which is excessively crowded. Also, Sharaf negotiated a very good price to hop on a camel for a picture at Giza (2 USD for two people, one by one). The last site was Memphi with the colossal statue of Ramses II. We resisted hunger until 4pm to make sure we managed to see everything as archaeological sites close at 4pm (bring some snacks like nuts and raisins, and plenty of water – it‘s hot in the desert!), and were rewarded with a great meal (drinks not included but very affordable for Westerners) in a buffet restaurant with delicious Egyptian food.
One of the most remarkable experiences ever! If you want to know Egypt you can't miss these locations. Again, Emo Tours provided us an amazing experience, from picking us at the hotel, provinding an incridible guide, Khalaf who were super kind and dedicated! He was able to teach us everything about these places and was essential for our experience. Besides that, water was provided and a car with air conditing took us location to location. Defenitely, recommed Emo Tours to help anyone to get to know the Pyramides!

Fantastic trip along the 4 most interesting sites in the Cairo area. With a private driver and guide from Emo Tours we were expertly shown around. The guide was very competent, highly trained and helpful. We not only got an explanation of all the sights, but also a lot of useful tips. Highly recommended!
Dear our valued customer Thank you so much for your kind words, We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us .We count ourselves lucky for customers like you. We look forward to seeing you again in the future! Best regards, Emo Tours Egypt
This tour was absolutely amazing! Both our driver and guide were incredibly nice and showcased true Egyptian hospitality. They treated us to a delicious Egyptian lunch and even taught us how to make authentic falafel at the Dahshur pyramids - such a unique and memorable experience! At the end of the tour, they were kind enough to drop us off at a different location, which was super convenient. Everything was well-organized, and we felt truly cared for throughout the day. However, one thing to keep in mind is that everything in the Giza Plateau is highly inflated in price. If this is your first experience in Egypt (as it was for us), you might feel overcharged for what you paid after visiting the bazaars in Cairo city center, where prices are much more cheaper. I highly recommend this tour and would definitely do it again!

Private Daytour to Memphis-Dashur-Sakkara-Giza is a great tour. You get into ancient Egypt and get everything you can here in Cairo area. We bought our own tickets and that worked nicely. We were 5 and our guide Wafe was very good. She recalled the pást, knew all details of today's Egyptian life (school, etc.) and answered our lots of questions. I highly recommend the tour!
I took two tours with Emo Tours Cairo. One was to the Giza Pyramids and the other was a day trip to Alexandria. Both times I was scammed by the guide. Giza Pyramids Tour: The car smelled like cigarettes and the guide told me that the government set the price of camel rides at 750 LE plus tip. However, it was really 350 LE. Alexandria: I opted out of pre-paying for lunch. The guide told me that I had two options for lunch, a $15 or $20, and that she would handle paying the restaurant and I would reimburse her. I opted for the more expensive one, because of the view. I got a small piece of fish, rice and some small sides and had to pay extra for the drink. Knowing what I know now, that lunch wasn't worth more than $5. She also told me that a boat ride at the Citadel was $10, when later I paid 10 LE ($0.21) for a boat ride across the Nile. I did these tours within the first few days of my trip to Egypt, so I was very green. I should have done more research on pricing, but I assumed that a personal guide would negotiate good prices for their clients, not price gauge and hustle them like the rest of the touts. Buyer beware.
