Private Siem Reap Land Radtour

Beschreibung

Sopeak was a lovely guy and very prompt. He chatted at the couple of stops we had a was knowledgable about the farms and local area where he has been brought up. The private tour was advertised as approx. 4 hours and we were back in 2 hours, even though we’re not particularly fast cyclists. We cycled through Siem Reap town for a short time before heading out into the countryside, passing through a local market where the fresh produce was bountiful. En route we cycled past a duck farm, to a small temple where there is a photo opportunity of a Buddha, on to another track where we passed a lotus flower field and stopped for another photo. Next stop was the mushroom farm which was fascinating and then finally back through local streets to see a school and back home. There were missed opportunities on this trip for more education. Learning and seeing where and how the lotus flowers are packaged, handled, managed etc. more about local crafts and an opportunity to learn more about local life would have been good. Having done a similar trip in Hoi An where more interaction with the community was evident and an opportunity to sample locally produced food was part of the tour fee, more is needed to make this feel value for money. The bike was fine for the trip but adding a rear mudguard to the bike for when riding through many puddles off road would be good to protect customer clothing, a chain guard and grips that were not worn through on the ends which kept slipping off would also make the experience feel of the quality that would match the price paid.
Fantastic tour guided by Sopheak. We rode through the countryside, saw a fresh farmers’ market, visited a primary school, walked in a lotus flower farm and visited a mushroom factory. Great experience and highly recommended.

Very good tour . Our guide Sopheak is terrific. Will recommend tour to all my friends.

As a family this was a very interesting experience. We really enjoyed seeing Cambodian life up close and personal. Our guide Sopheak Hub was brilliant, even taking us to visit a rural school once he knew I was an International School Principal. The bicycles were in very good condition and safe.GREAT
