Reiseverlauf
Der Tag beginnt sehr früh mit der Abholung zwischen 3 : 00 Uhr und 3 : 30 Uhr direkt von Ihrem Hostel oder Hotel in Cusco nach Cusipata. Die Erstfahrt dauert etwa 1 Stunde und 30 Minuten.
Der erste Halt ist in Cusipata für 30 Minuten zum Frühstück. Von dort aus setzen wir unsere Reise für weitere anderthalb Stunden fort und passieren das Dorf Pitumarca bis wir Hanchipata–Llama Chimpana erreichen, wo die Wanderung beginnt.
Sie beginnen die Wanderung am Fuße der Ausangate-Bergkette und machen sich für etwa 1 Stunde und 45 Minuten auf den Weg nach oben. Wir erreichen dann den höchsten Punkt des Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), den besten Ort, um die unglaublichen Farben und den schneebedeckten Ausangate Peak zu sehen.
Dies wird der höchste Punkt des Berges sein. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, verschiedene Arten von südamerikanischen Kamelen (Verwandte der Kamele) zu sehen. Wir besuchen auch den Red Hill, wo Sie die Landschaft genießen und schöne Fotos machen können. Bitte beachten Sie, dass das Eintrittsgeld für Red Hill nicht im Ticketpreis enthalten ist.
Halten Sie in Cusipata zum Mittagessen an.
Sie beenden die Wanderung mit einem 1 stündigen Abstieg über flaches Gelände und kehren zum Ausgangspunkt zurück. Der Fahrer wartet darauf, Sie für ein 1-stündiges traditionelles Mittagessen zurück in den Bezirk Cusipata zu bringen. Nach dem Mittagessen kehren wir nach Cusco zurück, wo wir gegen 15:30 Uhr ankommen.

Rainbow Mountain is a tough hike because of the altitude but Robinson was an amazing guide and kept us motivated throughout! He was very communicative on the front end and ensured that we had an amazing experience.

From start to finish, everything was well organized and smooth. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the area. This was the most amazing experience. David was an experienced, knowledgeable and highly supportive guide. This is quite challenging given the altitude but with David’s expertise we managed, and thoroughly enjoyed, the day. Rainbow Mountain is really great but the Red Valley blew us away. Went on a tour to the rainbow mountain and red valley with Darwin the guide and it was great. We went early to see the sites, we saw Andean eagles flying, which was great, and the weather was also really good
