Der Meiji-Jingu-Schrein ist einer der bekanntesten und bedeutendsten Shintō-Schreine Tokios und befindet sich in Harajuku. Gemeinsam laufen wir zum Hauptgebäude des Schreins und lernen dabei mehr über die japanische Kultur und Geschichte. Außerdem entdecken wir einige traditionelle Rituale Japans.
Nach dem Besuch des Meiji-Jingu-Schreins geht es weiter nach Harajuku, wo wir die berühmte und farbenfrohe Takeshita Street entlang laufen. Diese lebhafte und ikonische Einkaufsstraße im Herzen von Harajuku bietet unzählige Möglichkeiten zum Shoppen und Naschen – von riesiger Regenbogen-Zuckerwatte bis hin zu witzigem „Kot“-Eis.
Weiter geht’s in Harajukus Street-Style-Wunderland: Taucht ein in die lebendige und außergewöhnliche Modeszene dieses Viertels, wo jede Straße wie ein Laufsteg wirkt. Lasst euch von den Farben, Stilen und der jugendlichen Energie mitreißen, die Tokios trendbewusstestes Viertel ausmachen. Wir besuchen die Tokyu Plaza – perfekt, um tolle Fotos zu machen! Anschließend geht’s weiter nach Shibuya, vorbei an der angesagten und stylischen Cat Street.
Shibuya Kreuzung: Erlebt das pulsierende Herz Tokios am berühmten Shibuya Crossing. Taucht ein in den Rhythmus der Menge, während ihr die weltweit verkehrsreichste Kreuzung überquert und die lebendige urbane Energie der Stadt hautnah spürt. Bevor wir uns dem größten und belebtesten Crossing der Welt stellen, machen wir einen kurzen Stopp im neuen Miyashita Park. Dort können wir einen Kaffee genießen oder einfach die Atmosphäre auf dem Dach erleben!

Ursprünglich Teil des Kaneiji-Tempels, wurde der Park 1873 öffentliches Land und bietet heute breite Wege, Museen und über 1.000 Kirschbäume! In der Umgebung des Bahnhofs Ueno finden Sie belebte Shopping Straßen wie Ameya-Yokocho, die lokale Snacks, Souvenirs und Mode anbieten. My husband and I came to Tokyo for the first time. So we decided to go on a private guided tour for the start of our trip. We chose this tour to get a decent overview of Tokyo and its habits. Wonderfully comprehensive tour with tons of valuable info. Jero is one of the best tour guides i've ever had (and i've had many!) We were able to see so much during our time with him. He took pictures and videos along the way and then air dropped them to my phone. We have already scheduled a second tour and are looking forward to it!

Booking this tour was the best decision of our trip to Japan. We couldn't have had a better start. Jero picked us up at the hotel and his open, warm and sympathetic nature immediately took us for him. With an enthusiastic “There’s so much to do here!” he led us confidently and thrillingly into the middle of this overwhelming city. It's incredible what you can see and experience in four hours. Thanks to Jero, we sent wishes on our way to the Meiji Shrine, enjoyed cotton candy and ramen, swung katana, chatted about life in Tokyo over coffee on rooftop terraces, admired cozy neighborhoods and modern high-rises, wandered through yokochas (lanes full of izakayas), browsed department stores, got wonderful photo memories (Jero takes great photos), to name a few. Besides, we would never have discovered many insider tips, such as viewpoints of the Shibuya crossing, without him. Jero is by far the greatest guide we have ever experienced. Immerse yourself in the many facets of Tokyo at his side is a gift. It is not only his almost inexhaustible knowledge of the culture, history, places and people and his passionate enthusiasm for his city and Japanese culture, but above all his authentic, warm and so incredibly attentive way of giving his guests the feeling of having a good friend by his side.
