We’ve done hundreds of wine tasting experiences in many locations but this one is the most memorable. Gaetno from The Wine Bus set up a truly magnificent experience at both wineries, both of which made some very high end wines. When I first got a message that we were going to get a “truck load of food” I thought it maybe was a little bit of hype. But no it was the exact opposite. The first winery was a very high end small boutique winery. Amazing wine and an amazing winery and an incredible winemaker who was also a very kind man. He had put out a huge spread of very high end meats, cheeses, bread and many other things. We spent a full two hours there and it was really fun. So I thought this was the truckload of food and was quite satisfied. When we arrived at the second winery it was quite impressive. And when we walked into the tasting room there was the largest and most amazing spread of food I’ve ever seen in a winery. Clearly enough for a group of eight, but it was just my wife and I. As it turns out, this was just the starters. If you’ve ever been to an old Italian grandmothers home on Sunday who loves to cook and is great at it this is what we experienced. The wife of the owner made a everything and started cooking for us the day before. She was a world class cook with an unbelievable passion for it. We were there for about 3 1/2 hours I think and it was so much fun and so good. And of course the wine was amazing too.

Gaetano was a fantastic guide on this wine tour. Bringed us to two vineyards which each in their own way gave us a wonderful experience. As a guide Gaetano was flexible when we asked the day before how we could get from Positano to Naples when the trip was finished, then he drove us there without any extra cost, which for us was very comfortable. Relaxed at the hotel in Naples so we could check in luggage, then he waited outside so he could drive us to a very good pizzeria restaurant - which we wanted to end the evening with. I would highly recommend Gaetano as your guide, you will not regret it.

Gaetano was such a great host and tour guide! My family and I had the best time. We were picked up from our hotel in Positano on time and the ride was smooth. There was some traffic so it took us a little over 2 hours to reach the first stop. At both wineries we were treated as family. There was SO much food, plan on a late, light dinner after this tour! The first winery really felt like we were in a family’s home. The tour was informative and the wine was delicious. The second stop was great to see the contrast in the technology. We also enjoyed the wine here and the food was again plentiful and delicious. I like the cheese so much, I asked about where I could buy it. Gaetano went out of his way to find the cheese for me. He went as far as to deliver it to me in Naples! He is a great guy to spend the day with and really treats you like family. I highly recommend this tour!

WineGuy is a must when visiting Southern Italy Such an amazing adventure with the “WineGuy” on our trip to Italy ! Very professional transfers from the airport in Rome to our hotels, and then our transfer to Sorrento, but we made a stop in Cassino for an amazing lunch! We visited a town my brother-in-law’s Grandparents were from, and Guy even arranged a meeting with the town mayor. Our visit to the Donna Elvira winery was anything less than spectacular and very informative by Dr. Mirco Colella. In fact my wine that I ordered arrived in less 2 weeks! If you’re planning a trip to Italy especially to Southern Italy you won’t be disappointed in contacting the “WineGuy”!!!

One of the best wine tours my partner and I have done. Our tour guide, Gaetano, was very informative in explaining the different wines. Extremely nice as well. Wineries were beautiful and the wines were excellent. Owners were very generous in their tastings. Excellent value for the experience we had.

We recently took the private Irpinia wine tour with The Wine bus and had an absolutely wonderful time. Our host and Sommelier, Gaetano Petrillo, was fantastic. He brought us to two small family run wineries where we not only sampled some very good wine but also had the opportunity to meet the families and enjoyed a spread featuring local cheeses, breads and salamies. He was very knowledgeable and his wit and charm just added to the experience. I drink primarily Italians wines at home but I was not familiar with the wines of Campania. They did not disappoint. The entire experience was one we will remember for some time. Our driver was also very good and very professional. I would recommend this tour very highly.

Can’t say enough great things about Guy and the amazing day we spent with him. Super friendly, very accommodating. Would absolutely recommend doing this as part of any trip.

This was a wonderful experience. I recommend everyone do this. Ate a lot of great food and drank a lot of wine. It was a little different that I imagined.. we did not necessarily walk through the vineyards, but just sat down and ate a lot of home cooked food as well as drank their local wine. Awesome time!

My wife and I just wrapped up our honeymoon (split time between Positano and Rome). While both cities were awesome, neither experience compared to this tour which felt completely “authentic” in my opinion. We were picked up from our hotel in Positano and driven around the coast of Sorrento and into the mountain Irpinia region. You will get the opportunity to visit 2 separate wineries (tasting red, white, and possibly a Rose if you visit the same winery as us). You get to o sit down with he families that run the winery and eat a home cooked Italian meal while drinking wine! Both wineries had the best food of the entire trip (also both places made incredible jams that we had to purchase upon leaving). Our tour guide Sonya was the absolute best tour guide you can ask for. When we visit the Almafi coast again we will be booking this same tour!
