Great experience. Highly recommend using Tonci as a local guide while in Croatia. He is a skilled communicator with very good English.

Great experience. Highly recommend using Tonci as a local guide while in Croatia. He is a skilled communicator with very good English.
Look no further than Tonci’s Tours for a memorable tour of Hvar that we are highly confident can’t be beat. We sought out Tonci for a custom tour to celebrate a special occasion on Hvar. Tonci worked with us to design a tour to include everything we were looking for. From the moment we met, we connected with Tonci and honestly felt like we spent the day with family in Croatia. What a fantastic young man that left a lasting impression on us. His knowledge of the island, his comfortable vehicle (with cold air conditioning!) his genuine demeanor, and his drive to deliver a special experience for his clients is A+. Words can’t describe what the day with Tonci on Hvar meant to us. We visited the best lookout points on the island, a honey and olive farm, historic abandoned villages, a winery by candlelight, and capped the day off with a delicious peka meal at a family konoba. Tonci arranged everything in advance and his attention to detail is impeccable. Highly recommend Tonci for your Hvar tour!
Had the best day with Tonci, driving around Hvar and learning about the history of the island and the Hvar culture/ it was magical. We saw and learnt about the lavender fields, vineyards, we walked through an incredible(!!) abandoned village, and managed a couple of beach stops too. Tonci was very flexible when we wanted to add a beach and stay longer at another one. He is super polite and professional and made for the perfect day. Highly recommend!
We had a fantastic day with Tonci, who took us from Split to Krka Waterfalls. He was incredibly trustworthy, knowledgeable about the area and shared lots of interesting history and local knowledge along the way. His English is excellent and he gave us some great recommendations for places to eat, visit and explore during our stay. He was very accommodating and flexible, and also funny, relaxed and great company. Tonci runs his own business and you can really see how passionate and driven he is about what he does. He made the whole day easy and enjoyable and we would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a private tour from Split. Thanks Tonci for a great day! 100% recommend! (He’s the one in the back)
I highly recommend it! We had a wonderful trip and truly enjoyed every moment. Everything was perfectly planned. Tonci is kind and very attentive; he really took care of us throughout the entire day, even until the late hours. It was a real pleasure for us to spend time in the company of such a lovely person. His positive energy made the whole experience even more special. We had a truly beautiful day.
Tonci arranged a private tour for us that was completely magical. From the local restaurant off the beaten path where we had peka to star gazing in a village dating back to the 15th and 16th century. He was very responsive in the planning stage and super knowledgeable on the area. We would do a tour with him again and highly recommend.
We spent an amazing day with Tonci touring his beautiful home of Hvar. We started in Hvar Town and made our way up to Napolean Fortress for breathtaking views of the town. We drove across town, stopped in lavender fields, learning about the historic farming culture and stopping to take a look at the stone huts built to keep the workers cool. We went to Stari Grad and learned a great deal about the town’s history and just wandering the old streets. Next up was a small family winery that had a tasting set up in the cellar with wine and olive oil. For lunch, we drove to Bilo Idro which was on a part of the island we would’ve never been able to visit without a local guide. After lunch, we swam in the sea and finished up at a historic village in the mountains. The knowledge, attention to detail and genuine kindness from Tonci was top notch. We can’t wait to make a return trip to Hvar!
Tonci was an amazing guide. We saw parts of Hvar we wouldn’t have been able to see without such a knowledgeable local. He loves his island and shared interesting facts and places only a local could. I would recommend him for his enthusiasm and professionalism.
Tonchi is quite simply a magnificent guide and excellent company. He has near encyclopedic knowledge of Hvar and managed to fit an extraordinary amount of touring into a single day. He speaks with great passion about an Island and a culture he so clearly loves and is rightfully proud of. If you want to learn enough to justify University credits and have a great deal of fun along the way, please, look no further than Tonchi's Tours.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was a real pleasure spending the day with you both. Having such lovely guests from England made the tour especially enjoyable, and I truly enjoyed our time together. I'm delighted that you enjoyed lunch in an authentic, peaceful village setting, as well as the lavender presentation and the chance to harvest the lavender yourselves. It was also great to share six varieties of Hvar wine and four local olive oils with you and introduce you to some of the island's traditions and flavors. I was especially happy to hear that you enjoyed the special dinner the following day in a traditional setting with a romantic table prepared just for you. Knowing that these experiences helped make your stay even more memorable means a lot to me. Thank you for choosing my tour. I'm so glad we met and that I could help you make the most of your time on Hvar. You will always be welcome back! Best regards from Hvar!
We had an unforgettable week in Split, and we owe so much of that magic to our incredible guide, Tonči. From the very first WhatsApp message before our trip, his warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm were obvious. We felt an instant connection with him even before we met, which is rare. When he picked us up at the airport, he was exactly as friendly and genuine in person. He immediately took charge of our luggage and even carried it up the stairs to our accommodation without being asked — that level of thoughtfulness set the tone for the entire week. Tonči went above and beyond at every turn. He sent us fantastic restaurant recommendations that were all absolute winners. The next day he organized a beautiful tour of Krka National Park, sharing fascinating insights into Croatian history and culture along the way. The park was stunning, and experiencing it with his guidance made it so much more meaningful. He also arranged an exceptional wine tasting with Mate, a 9th-generation winemaker. What a special experience! And a few days later, we had the absolute highlight: a private tour of his hometown, Hvar. Being shown the island through the eyes of a proud local who clearly adores it was such a privilege. He knew all the hidden roads and breathtaking vantage points that tourists never find on their own. We enjoyed a wonderful walking tour of beautiful Stari Grad, followed by more excellent wine tasting and the most incredible peka we’ve ever had at Konoba Kokot. Every moment felt like VIP treatment. Even when things went wrong, Tonči was there for us. When my niece accidentally left her purse on the ferry back from Hvar, he jumped into action — contacting the ferry company, personally visiting their offices, and even offering to ship the bag to our next destination if it was found. Thankfully we recovered it with everything intact, which only proved what Tonči had proudly told us: Croatia is incredibly safe and its people are wonderfully honest. We spent seven days in Split, and our best memories from the entire trip are the ones Tonči helped create. He truly made us feel like family. In fact, my mom has officially “adopted” him as her newest grandson — we’re still working on the paperwork! 😊 If you’re traveling to Croatia, do yourself a favor and book Tonči. He’s not just a guide — he’s a true ambassador for his country and an absolute gem of a human being. We can’t recommend him highly enough and will absolutely be booking him again on our next visit (and there will definitely be a next visit!). Thank you, Tonči, for making our Croatian vacation so special! ❤️
Thank you so much for this incredible review! It was truly a pleasure meeting you all and being part of your Croatian adventure. From our very first WhatsApp messages, I knew this was going to be a special week, and spending time with such wonderful people made it just as memorable for me. I'm so happy you enjoyed everything; from Krka National Park and the wine tasting with Mate, to our day together on Hvar exploring hidden roads, breathtaking viewpoints, beautiful Stari Grad, and of course the famous peka at Konoba Kokot. Sharing my hometown with guests who genuinely appreciate its culture, history, and traditions is always a privilege. I was also glad I could help when the purse was left on the ferry. Thankfully everything worked out well, and as you discovered, Croatia is still a place where honesty and kindness are very much alive. What means the most to me is hearing that some of your best memories from Croatia came from the experiences we shared together. By the end of the week, you truly felt more like family than guests. And please tell your mom that I am truly honored to have been welcomed into your family as the newest grandson! 😊 I'm happy to report that the paperwork should be finalized very soon. One thing I learned during our time together is that Filipinos and the people of Hvar have a lot in common. We are both island people—relaxed, easygoing, and not too worried about the little things. We enjoy a simple life, good food, good wine, plenty of sunshine and sea, and above all, family means everything. Maybe that's why we connected so easily! Thank you again for your trust, your kindness, and all the laughs we shared. It was a joy helping you make the most of your stay, and I look forward to welcoming my Filipino-Croatian family back to Croatia one day. Best regards from Croatia!
