Der Besuch beginnt am Eingang der Stadt und führt uns dann zwischen den Mauern der „Listen“ hindurch. Dann betrachten wir das Schloss und betreten die Basilika, um die prächtigen Buntglasfenster zu bewundern.
Der Besuch führt Sie durch die gepflasterten Straßen der mittelalterlichen Stadt und ihrer malerischen Häuser. Die Mauern können von den Läusen aus wie die alte Kathedrale von Saint Nazaire bewundert werden.

I gifted this tour to a couple of friends for one of their birthdays. I had chosen JULIEN as the guide, whose profile and description of the tour perfectly matched my friends' expectations. However, the tour was conducted by GWEN, the change of guide was made without warning and without providing explanations, which is quite cavalier. Moreover, even though I had paid the extra fee to include the castle visit (it was noted on the ticket), the guide charged them for entry. My friends were, however, satisfied with their visit, but nothing more.
Bonjour Flonile, Après échange avec Gwen il apparait qu'elle a demandé à vos amis de régler l'écart de prix des entrées du château suite a l'augmentation du tarif des entrées. Les prix pratiqués par le château sont parfois sujet à modification, soit 7€ de différences ici. Malheureusement l'augmentation a eu lieu entre votre réservation et votre visite. Quand à mon absence elle est dût à une urgence vétérinaire. J'ai tenté de sauver mon chien qui est décédé à la suite des fortes chaleur qui ont touché notre région. Gwen a accepter de me remplacer à la dernière minute pour que je puisse aller au vétérinaire. Dans la précipitation j'ai tout de même prévenu que ce serait Gwen qui viendrait à leur rencontre, sans plus d'explication en effet. Je regrette que vous ayez du subir ses contretemps et modifications cavalière, il s'agissait pour moi d'un cas de force majeur. Merci de votre compréhension.
Julian was great. Very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the tour a lot! The castle was fun to walk around and it had lots of shops and restaurants. Learned a lot from julien.
Very informative - we particularly liked the quirky stories told by our guide about the citadel. Very accessible and his English was excellent. We would highly recommend it!
Julien was our knowledgeable tour guide, who spoke perfect English and provided an amazing amount of history of the castle. My husband and I enjoyed this private tour and Julien’s stories of the previous occupants of the castle and city of Carcassonne. Highly recommended!
I highly Recommend Julien.His storytelling and information on the medieval cite of Carcassonne was first rate. He was friendly and created a picture of life in the cite across the centuries of history. We walked at a relaxed pace both outside and inside the castle/fortification walls.This private tour is a must do.
Extremely knowledgeable with solid historical fact about the building of the castle , cathedral and defensive walls. Also excellent detail of the history of the inhabitants and role in history of the empires. Would highly recommend. 2 hours was thorough and enjoyable. The tour was catered to adults.
Guide was informative and engaged. We learned a lot about Carcasonne's history. His accent was heavy but we understood almost all of what he was telling us. Recommended.
We had the chance to make this visit with Anna Philippe: it was dynamic it was funny it was rich it was extremely informative!!! All the family members had a great time, from 7 to 77 years old. We can only advise!
Morgane, our tour guide, provided us with an information-packed walking tour through the walled city of carcassonne. Her knowledge of the history was extensive and her enthusiasm was infectious. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and left with a more thorough understanding of the history and geography of this fascinating area. We would highly recommend booking a tour with Morgane!
