The gondola ride was a fun experience but we were a little disappointed that the gondolier did not interact with us or point out sites. He was too interested in talking with the other gondoliers that we passed. The restaurant was excellent , food and waiters were excellent, would give them 5 stars.
We were left with no guide to meet us and ended up just finding out on our own where to go and what to do. The gondola people had no idea what they were supposed to do, and couldn't understand the reservation paper we gave them. It all ended up OK (with many hand gestures, as they did not speak English). We loved the gondola ride, but it was too short. The people at the restaurant also had no idea what our reservation paper was about, but after the manager got involved, it was cleared up and we had a good dinner with great wine. The tour was fine, but the company that organized the experience needs better organization and information sharing with customers.
You know you read one bad review and you’re terrified… We kept going till we saw a good review, it was only a few at the time but he did it and it was perfecto! We went to Vino Vino for our dinner, the outside looks small but when we went inside it opened up and was quite huge. Very spacious, but still very quaint and very Venice! Our server did a great job and the food was excellent! First time I’ve written a review so far it was that important that you know
Insanely overpriced. Walk up to any of the hundreds of gondolas for the same 30 minute ride, they're never overbooked, and it's only 80 Euros for up to 4 people. Where as 4 tickets for this booking are $150 each! RIP OFF! Then dinner is at a very average small restaurant. The food comes out quick but doesn't have much flavor or anything special. Wine tastes like a $10 from a grocery store. Menu prices DO NOT ADD UP ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR BOOKING PRICE PER PERSON. I've attempted to contact Viator about this booking and have been totally ignored. Absolutely terrible. Horrible service. I hope no one else loses their money to this.
Server at Vino Vino Wine Bar was extremely rude and the food was average at best. Gondola ride was ok but you will do better on your own. You can find a gondola ride anywhere for about 15-20 US dollars. No need to reserve this part. Save your money and pass on this one.
It was peaceful and nice to see the city by Gondola. He didn’t say much but the quiet ride wasn’t bad. Dinner was average
I would thoroughly recommend this trip. If you only do one trip in Venice this would be it. Thank you had a lovely time and very good value for money. Jayne and Chris England
