absolutely not worth the money. Our guide was very nice and fairly knowledgeable. We went to three wineries in the best wine region of the world and tasted mediocre wines at best. one winery served us crackers. He gave us a 10 minute tour of St Emillion and then we had lunch. it would have been a much better day if i had hand picked wineries myself and just hired a driver for the day.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. We would however like to clarify a few points regarding the tour. The wineries visited during your day were two Grand Cru Classé estates and one Premier Grand Cru Classé estate, among the most prestigious classifications in Saint-Émilion. In addition, your guide made a detour to show you the exterior of Château Pétrus and Château Cheval Blanc, two of the most renowned estates in Bordeaux. Regarding the crackers served during one tasting, these are commonly offered to cleanse the palate between wines. Food is generally not served during wine tastings as it can alter the perception and aromas of the wines being presented. As for Saint-Émilion village, the amount of free time available can vary depending on the pace of the day, including the time guests choose to spend at lunch. Our guides always do their best to balance winery visits, sightseeing, and free time throughout the experience. We appreciate your comments and thank you for choosing to tour with us.
We had an amazing time with Carol. Super grateful for our visit and learning all about the Bordeaux region. She did a great job of adapting to our needs and was extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
Had a fabulous experience. Rudolf picked us up at the train station. We had 3 private wine tours, a walking tour and lunch in St. Emilion. The wines were all absolutely delicious. The village was charming and the knowledge Rudolf had of wine, the region and the history made our trip that much better.
