Unser erster Halt im historischen Teil unserer Tour. Hier erkennen wir einen der bekanntesten Befreier Perus, Jose de San Martin.
Die Kirche und das Kloster wurden im Englischen auch als Franziskanerkloster bezeichnet. Sie wurden 1991 in die Liste des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbes aufgenommen. Die Stätte enthält eine weltbekannte Bibliothek mit etwa 25.000 antiken Texten. In den darunter liegenden Katakomben wird davon ausgegangen Zahl der Menschen wurde zur Ruhe gelegt. Heute können Sie die einst verborgenen Passagen erkunden und die einzigartigen Überreste der ersten Limeños beobachten.
Hier verbringen wir einige Minuten im Herzen von Lima. Die Plaza de Armas ist die Heimat des Präsidentenpalastes, des Erzbischöflichen Palastes, der Kathedrale und der städtischen Gebäude und kann oft ein lebhafter Ort mit Menschen und verschiedenen Formen der Unterhaltung sein.
Auf einer Pyramide aus dem siebten Jahrhundert erbaut, ist dieses Vize-Königshaus ein Ort mit seinen wunderschön gepflegten Gärten. Sie werden sogar Fotos von der Anlage machen, genauso wie die Relikte im Inneren. Der Teil der Tour besteht aus einer faszinierenden Geschichte, einem 45.000-köpfigen Antiquitätengeschäft und einer interessanten Erotiksammlung (dieser Raum kann weggelassen werden, wenn Sie mit jüngeren Kindern reisen.) Danach haben wir Zeit, um ein leckeres Mittagessen inmitten der farbenfrohen Gärten auf der Außenterrasse des Museumscafés zu genießen.
Ein kurzer Halt, um Limas berühmteste feste Pyramide zu beobachten, die in den Jahren von 200 bis 700 n. Chr. Als Zeremonienstätte der Kultur von Lima diente. Eine vollständige Besichtigung der Website wird nicht durchgeführt, sondern nur von außen betrachtet.
Ein Kunstpark an den Klippen von Miraflores am Meer. Beobachten Sie die Paragleiter, die über den Kopf segeln, und örtliche junge Paare, die entlang den Pfaden spazieren, die sich überall auf Liebhaber verlieben. Sehen Sie die modernere Seite von Lima mit Meerblick und wunderschönen Parks. In diesem Teil der Tour sind Haltestellen am Huaca Pucllana und Parque de Amor (Liebespark) enthalten.
Auf rund 251 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel haben Sie einen herrlichen Blick auf die Pazifikküste, die Chorrillos Bay und die Shanty-Städte. Bei anderen Touren oft übersehen, kann dies unser Highlight sein!

We booked this tour for a long layover in Lima and it exceeded our expectations! Our guide Edgar was not only very knowledgeable, he made the tour fun. George, our driver, added to the fun while safely navigating the traffic and avoiding jams. Among our favorite sites were the church and catacombs, the Museo Larco (beautiful grounds and excellent food), and “lovers park” with its Gaudi-inspired wall. We highly recommend this tour.

This tour was a perfect way to spend a long layover in Lima. We were picked up at the airport by our guide Edgar and driver George. Edgar answered all our many questions, providing insightful and fun facts about the city and the sites. Highlights for us were the Basilica and Convent of San Francisco with its catacombs and the Museo Larco, where we had a delicious lunch.
