There was no giraffe walk, but that was so in the description!
Hi Iris As per discussed via WhatsApp, you opted to leave earlier for lunch due to you where hungry, and did request the guide to stop earlier than usual, because you did not wanted to walk. We can not be held responsible for clients that does not want to walk. This is a walking excursion with giraffe, not a ZOO where animals come to you.
It was very impressive, we were able to see a lot of animals, thanks to our guide who knows very well. The Giraffe Walk was the crowning achievement. I would book the tour just like that again.♥️

Picking up at Port Elizabeth port worked without any problems despite a short-term change in berth. The tour in Addo Park and the subsequent giraffe walk were great experiences thanks to our tour guide Riaan. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and recommend this tour without restrictions. We booked our adventure online a few months in advance, especially having found this company is the only one that offers the giraffe tracking walk experience. Communication in advance was excellent, especially as we were concerned that our port visit may be cancelled or shortened by NCL. Luckily it was slightly extended. We were met by Riann - owner of the company. It was obvious from the start that he loved and lived his work. His enthusiasm was infectious, as I know that all of our party had the most incredible day. It’s just under an hour from cruise terminal to addo. I was fortunate enough to have the passenger seat at the front of the vehicle (due to being on a walking stick). A lot has already been said by other reviews about addo, so I won’t repeat. However, to get the best out of your visit, you need professional authorised guides. Exactly what zasendle are. After addo - where we left all the other tour companies - we headed 15 minutes to a private game reserve to track giraffe on foot. Who would have thought that an animal so tall could hide so well! It took 45 minutes to track them down, but the anticipation and wait was so worth it. Mindblowing, awesome, thrilling, breath holding and heart stopping are just a few words to describe being so close to these majestic beautiful animals. The giraffe encounters are very limited in numbers, and I strongly advise booking well in advance. On our way back to the ship, Riann kindly added a short guided visit to the downtown area of Port Elizabeth. This gave us an opportunity to understand the history and evolution to this city. This tour overall was one of the top highlights of our South Africa vacation and cruise. It was worth every rand to be guided by one of the best guides in the area. Thank you

This was an amazing experience! We decided to book one last safari outting before flying out, and it was amazing. Riann picked us up at our hotel in the morning, and eventually dropped us at the airport that evening... but in between was amazing! We saw so many animals, especially elephants! Riann was so knowledgeable about the animals, plants and their behaviors and environment! He then cooked us a delicious South African Braai for lunch while we admired the animals nearby,! We then went to the Addo Afrique to walk with the Girrafes which was also delightful! We highly recommend this booking!

Our guide Tony was awesome; he located the animals and birds effortlessly. My pictures are amazing because he was able to position his truck for the perfect frame. Tony was eager to share his vast knowledge about the animals and the environment. At the end of the day we were sad to leave our new friend!

Spectacular day at Addo and Giraffe walk. Riaan was amazing. His knowledge of the animals, birds and vegetation was amazing. The weather was iffy, however we saw lots of wildlife and birds. Then lunch was fantastic ! Our last stop went to a private reserve to walk with the giraffes. An unforgettable experience I highly recommend this agency for a day or multiple day safari

This was the best shore excursion we have ever taken. Lots of animals in the National Park and walking with the giraffes was a once in a lifetime experience. Riaan is a knowledgeable and excellent guide.

What an amazing day we had with Ruaan, he picked us up from our hotel at Dung Beetle lodge and took us for a full morning around Addo Elephant Park. His knowledge of ALL animals of first class, and spotting creatures at a distance is quite unbelievable. We learnt so much from him about the park, the animals and their habits and a lot about South Africa too. Then after lunch, we went to a private Giraffe park where we spent a good hour walking with giraffes. So many holiday highlights in one day!! Can’t recommend Ruaan’s trips highly enough. Nice air conditioned vehicle too.
