Dieses Naturwunder wäre schon allein wegen der malerischen Landschaft einen Besuch wert, auch wenn die Klöster nicht da wären. Die Sache ist, dass sie es sind. Die alten griechischen Klöster fügen sich perfekt in die Umgebung ein und schaffen eine einmalige Sensation. Es ist meine beliebteste Tour (mehr als 100 Mal im Jahr) und dafür gibt es einen guten Grund. Während der Fahrt werde ich viel über Geologie, Geschichte, orthodoxe Religion und den Einfluss von Meteora auf Griechenland im Laufe der Jahrhunderte erklären. Wir werden auch über Griechenland und die griechische Lebensweise sprechen. Da ich dies seit so vielen Jahren mache, kenne ich die besten traditionellen lokalen Restaurants, ich weiß, wo die besten Haltestellen sind, wohin wir gehen müssen, wir werden die Orte besuchen, die für die Mehrheit der Touristen "nicht auf der Karte" sind, damit Sie die besten Fotos machen können, die Sie sonst verpassen würden, und Ihnen ein unvergessliches Erlebnis bieten. Die Tour ist vollständig anpassbar und kann auf Ihre Bedürfnisse zugeschnitten werden. Die meisten Reisenden besuchen normalerweise 2 oder sogar 3 Klöster.

Wir holen Sie ab! Wir haben eine fast 100-minütige Fahrt vor uns, bis wir Meteora erreichen ein optionaler kurzer Halt in einem lokalen Ikonen-Workshop (10-20 Minuten) Agios Stefanos hat den einfachsten Zugang Great Meteoron ist das größte von allen (400 Schritte sind erforderlich). Die Klöster Roussanou Nonnenkloster und Agios Nikolaos Anapafsas sind kleine Klöster, beide eine hervorragende Wahl. Das Kloster Varlaam (donnerstags und freitags geschlossen) ist dasjenige mit der besten Aussicht Natürlich sind alle offenen Klöster eine gute Wahl. Viele Leute ziehen es vor, all diese Klosterschritte (100-400 je nach Kloster) nicht zu gehen, wenn das der Fall ist, verbringen wir mehr Zeit mit dem Fotografieren. So können Sie immer vor Ort entscheiden, was am besten zu Ihnen passt. Die meisten Leute besuchen 2 Klöster, aber wenn Sie sich entscheiden, mehr zu besuchen, ist das für uns kein Problem. The monasteries at Meteora are breathtaking! It is a must see for anyone who goes to Volos or has the time while in Greece. Our guide was fantastic.

Our tour from our ship to the monasteries of meteora was excellent. Costis our driver and our guide was at the ship before we disembarked. He took us to three monasteries and would have added more if we wanted to but we had seen enough. They are wonderful and amazing; highly recommend. He made sure we were able to efficiently see all we wanted. He added a few ‘secret’ sites. It is well worth the extra cost of a private tour. Highly recommend this tour and guide.
Demetrius picked us up at the port….he was on time but we were confused…he was patient and we all made connections. Two of us (old and not eager to climb) asked to be dropped off at the village square to drink coffee and admire the view.). Two of us climbed and enjoyed Meteora. My son said “ the photos are spectacular, but they do NOT do the site justice! “. It was amazing and we were all glad to have seen and done what we could. Private tour gives access to many more photo ops and unique locations that the big bus tours do not get to. Our guide Costas was well informed of the area and kept us entertained for the journey to and from Meteora from our cruise ship. He was on time, polite and happy to answer all of our endless questions. Ask him to take you to the bakery outside of Volos. The treats are out of this world.

Great experience for the family and it was fully customizable for our reduced timeline. The monasteries were amazing to see, and we felt like we were able to do so much in such a short period. The recommended location for lunch was fantastic!
