This is my first review ever after 100s of trips. I had to. I used Trip Advisor to find Filip so I had to pay it forward… What an amazing day with Filip during the Dubrovnik to Kotor day trip, leaving at 6:05 and returning to the Buza Gate at 17:00. He expertly guided us thru the border crossings. Very safe driver in a comfortable, spacious car with no car sickness at all! He spoke fluent English. Great food recommendations. We had very informative discussions about everything, from the history to current events, life in Croatia and Montenegro, sports, pop culture, his lived experiences, food, and things to do on our return trip. He had something interesting to say regarding nearly everything we passed. In the pics you’ll see Kotor and Our Lady of the Rocks. Striking architecture. Not too crowded. In Kotor, I wished I captured (as in take photos of) the very well cared for street cats of Kotor. Finally a special thank you to our Kotor guide who led us around the city, Ivaca. What a pleasant gentleman who has lived in Kotor since birth, serving as a lawyer and musician. We learned so much while having a great time with him. Thank you Ivaca! A 10/10! See you next time, Filip!
We had the most wonderful tour with Filip today! He is incredibly knowledgable on the region and taught us so much, never shying away from any of our many questions. He is funny, energetic, organized, and a great driver 😊 Filip kept tabs on the border crossings throughout the day so that we did not have to wait in long lines, and very thoughtfully chose to drive us through Bosnia on our way back upon learning that we had never been. The local guide in Kotor was fantastic, as well, and we loved the restaurant Philip brought us to for lunch. Can’t recommend this tour enough!
Great trip overall — 10/10, I highly recommend this tour. Filip picked us up right at our hotel in Dubrovnik and dropped us back off there at the end of the day, which made everything easy. He’s extremely knowledgeable about every place we visited: the history of Dubrovnik, Perast, and Kotor. We left early to beat the traffic at the borders, which made a huge difference. We started with breakfast at a restaurant in Montenegro with beautiful mountain views, where you could see Our Lady of the Rocks and the island church from the terrace. From there we made our way to Kotor and met up with Ivica for a tour of the old town. Beautiful place, and he brought real depth to it — he’s lived there his whole life (70+ years), so the history came with actual lived experience behind it. We then took a boat out to Our Lady of the Rocks, which was another highlight. On the way back we stopped at a hidden gem — a gorgeous konoba run by the same family for generations, where stars like Novak Djokovic and Chris Bosh have eaten. Then, because of traffic at the border, Filip rerouted us through Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the scenery on that stretch was amazing in its own right. The car was comfortable with full A/C, and Filip made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
My daughter arranged this trip to Montenegro, and I really didn’t know what to expect, but it ended up being one of my favorite days of our vacation. Filip is the kind of person who makes you feel comfortable right away. He was on time, very easygoing, and took care of us the entire day. I especially enjoyed that he knew where to stop for good food. The place he brought us for breakfast had an unbelievable view, and the restaurant for lunch was a real hidden gem. Both were excellent choices. What I liked about Filip was that nothing felt forced or overly touristy. We were able to enjoy the day at our own pace, have good conversations, see beautiful places, and just enjoy being in Montenegro. My daughter and I were talking afterward about coming back to Montenegro someday. We both agreed that if we return, Filip has to be the one taking us around again. In fact, I told her I’m not going if it’s not Filip! 😂 Filip, thank you for taking such good care of us and for giving this dad and his daughter a day we’ll always remember. Hope to see you again!
We just finished our private tour to Montenegro with Filip, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the experience! My dad and I decided to travel to several different countries and booked private tours in each one, but wow, our Montenegro tour with Filip really stood out. From beginning to end, everything was so smooth, comfortable, and well organized. Filip is incredibly punctual and professional. He reached out to us the day before the tour to make sure everything was arranged and that we knew exactly what to expect. On the day of the tour, he was right on time and made the entire experience completely stress-free. He took us to a beautiful place for breakfast, and the view was just WOW! It was such a perfect way to start our day. Then, for lunch, he took us to what I can only describe as a “secret gem” and again, WOW!!!! The food, the atmosphere, the location… everything was amazing. These were the kinds of special places we probably never would have found on our own, and they made the experience feel even more personal and memorable. What we appreciated most was how comfortable and relaxed Filip made us feel. We never felt rushed, and everything flowed perfectly throughout the day. He was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure my dad and I were enjoying ourselves. After taking several tours during our trip through different countries, I can confidently say that Filip was one of the best guides we had. He didn’t just drive us around and show us Montenegr, he gave us an experience that we will remember for a long time. On the way back to Dubrovnik, he even routed the drive through Bosnia, which gave us the chance to see another country as well. It was such a great bonus, and we also avoided a lot of traffic at the immigration borders between the countries, which made the return trip much smoother. If you’re visiting Dubrovnik and thinking about taking a tour to Montenegro, book with Filip! You will not regret it. Thank you so much, Filip, for taking such great care of my dad and me and for making our day in Montenegro so special. Absolutely a 10/10 experience. Highly, highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My sister and I spent a lovely day with Felip touring Montenegro and Bosnia. We were off at 6 AM in an executive vehicle, and from then on were treated to gorgeous views and his immense knowledge the area. After spending about two hours in Kotor, Filip drove us to a quaint restaurant for a delicious lunch. Then on through Bosnia and more beautiful views. About a 12 hour tour well worth the time!
We had a beautiful day with Filip motoring to Montenegro, He was very knowledgeable and we learned so much about this amazing country. This was a perfect day trip!
Filip made our trip from Dubrovnik to Montenegro fantastic from start to finish. We were very pleased with how seamless he made our border crossing during one of the busiest times of year - had he not known where to cross the border more efficiently, it would have added hours onto our tour that would have otherwise been lost. His breakfast and lunch recommendations were true local favorites — always a great sign — and his knowledge of both Montenegro and Croatia, from history to culture, made the whole day as educational as it was enjoyable. We highly recommend him.
Yesterday my wife and I took this tour with Filip. It was a very memorable tour. Filip is very knowledgeable about the area. He was experienced at getting us across the border with little or no wait times during this busy travel season. Lunch at Catovica Mlini was extremely good. You won’t be disappointed in this tour. The drive along the coastline is beautiful.
This tour with Filip was excellent. It’s a 10 hour entertaining tour learning a lot about Montenegro. Filip is very experienced and knowledgeable. He drove my husband and me in a nice air conditioned car. The local guide Illia, was also good. We stopped at a wonderful place for lunch. We recommend this tour.
