A must-do!

An absolutely fascinating visit! For two hours, Thierry Le Roi introduced us to the inhabitants of this beautiful cemetery through numerous anecdotes, told with a lot of humor and passion. His knowledge of the place is impressive: he knows every corner and guides us through this maze to discover remarkable graves, astonishing architectures, and sometimes unusual epitaphs. Who would have thought that a cemetery could be so captivating! Thanks to his erudition, enthusiasm, and storytelling ability, this visit was very informative and quite enjoyable. A big thank you to Thierry for this wonderful moment. I recommend this tour without hesitation!

Exchanges and sharing

My dream came true, a meeting with Mr. Leroi. It was one of the most beautiful birthday gifts: meeting Mr. Leroi to share our experiences while visiting this magnificent cemetery. Thank you very much. To do again.

A memorable visit

A three-hour visit to an open-air museum with a guide, Thierry, remarkable for: his knowledge: history of the cemetery, personalities buried his organization: the end of the visit coinciding with the cemetery's closing his thoughtfulness: use of a misting device during stops in front of the graves his humor: the casket presentation at the end of the tour in total, a moment suspended outside of time Richard from Toulouse

Delicious visit

Despite a benevolent guide and attentive to our comfort, remember to cover yourself well if rain expected (waxed umbrella shoes suitable for rain)

To be consumed without moderation!

Exciting visit, full of scholarship, anecdotes and humor. Thierry Le Roi was able to integrate into the group my nephew aged 14: he loved it. Thank you for this shared moment!

Visit other Tombs

If you think Father Lachaise is a simple cemetery, it is because you have not yet met Thierry Le Roi and the Necro-Romantics. After two hours of visiting, I expected to emerge with a more cadaveric complexion; instead, I looked rejoiced. It's a big deal, when you've just spent the morning talking about illustrious deaths. More seriously, thank you to Thierry for waking up the dead so brilliantly. He has this rare talent: to make a concession as lively as a theatre, and to turn historical tragedies into deliciously nasty anecdotes. This visit was an ideal extension of my mother’s birthday, celebrated two days earlier: after blowing out her candles, taking her to see vaults and candles was a subtle way to remind her that alongside your residents, she is still a youthful insolent. And that’s when everything changed: she discovered an unexpected passion... taphophilia. A revelation as surprising as it is joyful, born from a cave and a disastrous anecdote. For the curious, the Thierry site is here: 👉 necro-romantiques.fr You come out of there with a sudden desire to refine your epitaph, to choose your crypt neighbors more carefully, and to forget that, technically, you step on the heads of people who have not asked for anything. A moment out of time (and a little out of the flesh). Funnily recommended
