Hören Sie die Geschichte des Ortes, an dem Tausende von Menschen aus mehr als 25 Ländern bis zu seiner Befreiung 1945 gefoltert und ermordet wurden. Das KZ Stutthof war das erste und das am längsten betriebene Konzentrationslager auf dem Gebiet Polens. Sie war gegründet worden, um jüdische und polnische Intelligenz, hauptsächlich aus Pommern und der Freien Stadt Gdask, auszulöschen. Das 1939 erbaute Lager, das ursprünglich für etwa 3 000 Menschen bestimmt war, wurde nach und nach zum Ort der Folter und Abschlachtung von über 110 Tausend Gefangenen aus 26 Ländern, von denen die meisten gefoltert, zur Arbeit gezwungen oder in Gaskammern gestorben waren. Das Konzentrationslager Stutthof ist derzeit für Besucher geöffnet. Da die Ausstellung recht drastisch ist, darf sie nur von Personen ab 13 Jahren besucht werden. Die Fahrt dauert 5 Stunden und das Angebot beinhaltet die Eintrittskarte zum Museum sowie eine geführte Erkundung des ehemaligen Stutthofgeländes – des alten und neuen Lagerquartiers, der Villa des Hauptkommandanten, der Gaskammern, des Krematoriums und des Denkmals für seine Opfer. Darüber hinaus ist es auch möglich, einen Film über das Lager zu sehen.

This was a great trip with a guide with deep knowledge and a very good and accurate way of telling the stories abaut Stutthof from the start to the end. Mike (our Guide) told the whole story, the awful handling of the people, how the camp was runned, and the strategies for survival was for the people in Stutthof. It is highly rekommended to do this tour for adults and teens.

It was a very interesting and profound experience tour which me and my family fully recommend to do. If you are interested in history or just a really humbling experience, this concentration camp will open your eyes to struggles of the people that was imprisoned here. If you coming in the winter months make sure you dress warm. The cold adds to the experience. If you are in the Gdansk area this is a must see. Having a guided tour definitely helps to get a full concrete experience. Your tour guide was on time to pick us up and shared so much about the local area as well. The beach is close and the shops have some great homemade ice cream. Hope you all enjoy as much as our family did.
