Um 5 oder 6 Uhr morgens holt Sie Ihr Fahrer ab und fährt nach Haridwar, das etwa 5 Stunden Fahrt ist. Ihr erster Halt ist Har ki Pauri. Har Ki Pauri gilt als einer der heiligsten Ghats des Landes und ist angeblich der erste Ort, an dem Ganga Ebenen berührt und die unberührten Gebirgszüge des Himalaya hinterlässt. Der Ghat ist auch als Brahma Kund bekannt, wo Sie den Stein betrachten können, der einen Abdruck von Lord Vishnus Fuß hat, wie der Name zeigt. Sie werden auch zwei Brücken in Rishikesh erkunden. Zuerst ist Lakshman Jhula, die beliebte Hängebrücke über den heiligen Fluss Ganga. Diese 450 ft lange Jhula ist auf einer Höhe von 70 ft vom Fluss gebaut und ist etwa 3 km von der Hauptstadt Rishikesh entfernt. Die andere Brücke ist Ram Jhula, die eiserne Parallaxenbrücke am Fluss Ganga in Rishikesh. Ram Jhula ist die neuere Brücke, die nach Lakshmans Bruder, Lord Ram, benannt ist.
Sie können Ihr Mittagessen in einem lokalen Restaurant (auf eigene Kosten) genießen, bevor Sie Sivananda Ashram, Parmath Niketan Temple, Gita Bhavan, Swarg Ashram, Ma Anandamayee Ashram, Sapt Rishi Ashram und The Beatles Ashram besuchen. Am Abend bei Sonnenuntergang besuchen Sie Ganga Aarti in Haridwar. Tausende von Sekten besuchen die Ghats der Ganga in Har ki Pauri in Haridwar, um Zeuge der Aarti zu werden, die vor mehreren Jahrzehnten begannen. Die Tradition setzt sich unvermindert fort und ist ein Anblick. Es findet auf der anderen Seite der Ufer statt, wo Sie die Priester sehen werden, die die Lampen im Uhrzeigersinn anzünden, begleitet von Liedern zum Lob von Mutter Ganga. Nachdem das Ritual beendet ist, werden die Gläubigen ihre Hände über die Flamme legen und ihre Handflächen auf die Stirn heben, um die Reinigung und den Segen der Göttin zu erhalten. Schließlich fahren Sie zurück nach Neu-Delhi und werden gegen 21 Uhr in Ihrem Hotel vorbeigebracht.

Ajay was a great tour guide. He took us to some beautiful places including a beach with sparkling sand! It’s also not every day you’re on a beach and there’s a cow laying in the sand soaking up the sun.

I took part in a fantastic tour in Haridwar and Rishikesh, the sacred sites of the Ganges River, which had a particularly positive effect on me. This tour is wonderful and the organization was perfect. We had a little glitch at first, but the organizer did well to meet our request. The day is long, but rich in beautiful scenery and moments.

An interesting tour, but a long drive (4 hours each way from/back to Delhi). Visited the various Ghats and Ashrams which were included on the tour, and also a Hindu temple (Glass Temple) which was unlike any other I have visited. I felt the tour could have been shortened as there was quite a time gap between the earlier visits and the start of the evening Aarti ceremony. Pickup arrangements were all fine and good driver and guide.

An excellent one day journey , either in culture or in religion. The driver is very good 👍. The guide was good as well except a little in a hurry .
