Sie besuchen die Festung Golubac, dramatisch über dem Fluss gelegen, und Lepenski Vir, eine der ältesten Siedlungen Europas, wo noch prähistorische Häuser der Donau gegenüberliegen. Der erste Halt ist die Festung Golubac, eine Festung aus dem 13. Jahrhundert am Eingang zur Schlucht der Eisernen Tore. Direkt oberhalb der Donau markiert er die Stelle, an der sich der Fluss zu verengen beginnt. Einst eine wichtige strategische Hochburg, kontrollierte sie eine wichtige Passage entlang der Donau. Während des Besuchs teilt Ihr Fortgeschrittener den historischen Kontext und erklärt seine Rolle durch verschiedene Zeiträume. Hinweis : Montags ist die Festung geschlossen. An diesen Tagen beschränkt sich der Halt auf einen kurzen Fotostopp von der Straße.
Als nächstes folgt Lepenski Vir, eine der ältesten bekannten Siedlungen Europas, die um 8000 v. Chr. datiert wurde. Am Ufer der Donau gelegen, bietet es Einblicke in das Leben prähistorischer Gemeinden in enger Verbindung mit dem Fluss. Im Inneren des modernen Besucherzentrums sind die Überreste markanter Trapezhäuser und einzigartiger Steinskulpturen zu sehen, die diese frühe Donaukultur prägen.
Die Fahrt geht weiter durch den Nationalpark Eiserne Tore in Richtung der Aussichtspunkte von Kasan, dem attraktivsten und dramatischsten Teil der Donauschlucht. Hier verengt sich der Fluss zwischen steilen Kalkfelsen und bildet die markanten Abschnitte Mali Kasan und Veliki Kasan. Diese Tour geht tiefer in die Schlucht als die meisten ähnlichen Touren und erreicht ihre beeindruckendsten Aussichtspunkte. Von hier aus können Sie die Donau an ihrer engsten Stelle sehen, mit Rumänien direkt über dem Wasser.
Nach der Besichtigung halten Sie zum Mittagessen in einem kleinen lokalen Ökodorf am Ufer der Donau. Ein Menü mit traditionellen regionalen Gerichten wird in der Regel serviert und bietet eine entspannte Pause am Fluss. Nach dem Mittagessen beginnt die Rückfahrt nach Belgrad, mit Ankunft am frühen Abend. Die übliche Abgabezeit ist gegen 19 Uhr.

This tour with Andrija was amazing. Golubac, Lepenski Vir, and the Iron Gorge boat ride were all amazing. The lunch we had at the boat launch was the best food we had in Serbia. Lepenski Vir was a highlight of the trip. The artifacts at this museum were very interesting and the short 1960s film was fun to watch.
Great company! Our tour guide Andrija was very knowledgeable and a great relatable guy. We did this tour and a tour to Topola and Oplenac. Couldn’t recommend Serbian Private Tours more! Well done guys and see you next t year!

We had a wonderful day trip. First we saw the fort and wandered around. Lots of personal touches and what I enjoyed was the guide Andrija taking photographs of us, as I am always the photographer and therefore never seem to be recorded as being on holiday. Lots of interesting facts learnt about Serbia and the areas we were travelling to. Lepenski Vir was interesting. The highlight was the boat trip through Iron Gorge, lots to see. Then lunch at a unique family run little place. Andrija was such a pleasant young man and very attentive. Really enjoyed experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed this full day tour with Miljan who was more than happy to answer all our questions. The wonderful lunch of traditional Serbian food in the garden of a private home was the highlight of the day and the views of the Iron Gate gorge were amazing. Miljan went the extra mile to take us to the narrowest part of the gorge which was much appreciated. We were delighted to later receive some lovely photos Miljan had taken during our tour, great memories of an excellent day!

Lepenski Vir is a world class site of supreme importance in human history. And Viminacium and Felix Romuliana were equally fascinating, brought to life by Andrija. From the moment we booked this tour direct with Serbian Private Tours via their website, to the follow up email after the tour enclosing the photographs Miljan had taken of us, we experienced a level of service second to none. I am a natural worrier and I emailed with a number of questions in advance and Miljan answered fully and speedily and put my mind at rest. You can tell the difference between a small family owned and run organisation (Miljan's wife sent the confirmation ) and larger ones: Miljan genuinely cares that you have the best experience possible and we did have an amazing day. The mix of attractions was well thought out - an impressive fortress, a most unusual archaeological site, the iron gate gorge and well worth doing the optional boat trip and finally a delicious buffet in an outdoor venue with the most wonderful views. I would recommend Miljan without hesitation.
I tend to be a rather "hands-on" travelers, which means I normally don't take private tours, but since we were a group of 4 people, I figured this might be a good option and boy, did we make a good choice! Absolutely loved everything about the tour: the wonderful service and conversation of Miljan, the comfort of the vehicle, the gorgeous sites, the delicious place we stopped by for lunch.. and the unexpected surprises like professional photography and souvenirs at the end of the tour for no additional costs! This tour is also a very time efficient way to see a lot of Serbia from Belgrade, so I highly recommend it!
