Der Botanische Garten ist einer der schönsten Gärten Madeiras mit herrlichem Blick auf die Stadt Funchal. Die auf dem Bom Sucesso Estate gelegenen Gärten und Anwesen stammen aus dem Jahr 1881 und wurden von der Familie Reid als privater Park angelegt. Heute ist die Unterkunft für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich und beherbergt täglich viele internationale Besucher. Die Gärten haben eine Fläche von 80.000 Quadratmetern und beherbergen eine faszinierende Sammlung von Pflanzen. Auf der Fahrt mit Ihrem Reiseleiter können Sie die herrliche Aussicht über die Stadt genießen. Sobald Sie sich im Botanischen Garten befinden, bietet Ihnen Ihr Guide ausreichend Zeit, um die Gärten zu besuchen. Die Eintrittskarten werden separat bezahlt. Neben all diesen Attraktionen verfügt der Botanische Garten auch über ein Naturhistorisches Museum. Auf dem Weg vom Garten können Sie verschiedene Sehenswürdigkeiten aus verschiedenen Jahrhunderten besuchen, darunter die Kathedrale aus dem 15. Jahrhundert und den Stadtplatz, auf dem sich das Rathaus und das Jesuitenkloster befinden.

An afternoon tour with our guide/driver Pedro to the Botanical Gardens up and down some terribly steep roads and so well driven. Pedro gave us plenty of interesting info about Funchal.
Martin our driver was excellent, friendly happy and very knowledgeable about Madeira, the botanic gardens were only 10 euros each and were really nice, we had an hour in the gardens which was plenty of time great trip really recommend

We have booked for the Tukxi Botanical Garden Tour. We were picked up by a lovely lady driver who was also talking to us about the city and the views we were passing, she was super nice but we didnt catch her name unfortunately. We got picked up from and dropped off at our hotel and driven in Tuk Tuk Taxi through the city and to the botanical garden where we had an hour to walk around and see lots of lovely plants and take in breathtaking views. The lady was waiting for us outside when we finished the garden walk and she took us through some more touristy bits in town talking us through everything we seen on our way which was lovely. It was such nice private tour which was great for us as I am currently pregnant so we couldn't book other all day trips as they would be too tiring and this was absolutely perfect, comfortable and good lenght of time for a little time out of our hotel and into seeing a bit of Funchal and had a lovely stroll around the botanical gardens. Perfect if you want to relax and enjoy the views as the speed of tukxi is perfect to take everything in as you pass by. Thank you so much for the tour, we have really enjoyed it!

We had great fun on our tuk tuk tour to the botanical gardens, The driver was very knowledgeable and pointed out sights of Funchal on the way.

The botanical garden is a must visit to Funchal. Lots of flowers and trees to discover. Plant and flower beds made with very good taste. Superb view of Funchal.
