However, we feel it is important to clarify several statements in your review that do not accurately reflect what occurred. First of all, “Sea Breeze” is simply the name of Luciano’s boat. Luciano is the owner of his own fully licensed business and has been one of our trusted partners for many years. Our Viator listing is for a private boat tour, and our photo gallery clearly shows that we operate several traditional 7.5-meter Sorrentine gozzo boats of the same category and standard. The only differences between them are minor details such as seating layout or color. Boats are assigned according to our daily operational schedule and their location following the previous day’s tours. Viewing only the first photograph rather than the complete gallery does not accurately represent what is advertised. We also wish to clarify that your concerns were not ignored. While your tour was still in progress, we repeatedly attempted to contact you by both phone and message to address your concerns immediately. Unfortunately, we received no response, and some of our calls were declined. The reason Massimo, the owner of the company, approached you at the restaurant was simply because it was the first opportunity to speak with you in person and try to find a solution. The restaurant is completely independent from our business. Before your tour, we asked several times whether you had a preferred restaurant, as many guests do. Since no preference was provided, we recommended a restaurant that has consistently received excellent feedback from our guests over many years and with which we have no commercial relationship whatsoever. Your private tour was completed in full and lasted almost nine hours. Additionally, approximately 40 minutes beyond the planned itinerary were dedicated to assisting you with disembarkation and taking extra photographs at your request. Our captain was happy to accommodate these requests despite the scheduled return time having already begun. We are also surprised by your comments regarding the restaurant experience. Upon your arrival, you were offered a complimentary traditional Italian digestive called a “Canarino” (a natural mixture of hot water, lemon, and baking soda) after mentioning that you were not feeling well during the tour. Regarding the food, the restaurant informed us that the dishes served to your table were barely touched before being returned and provided photographic documentation confirming this. If you truly believed the boat did not meet your expectations, you were free not to board or to end the tour at any point. Instead, you chose to complete the entire experience and requested a refund only after all services had been fully provided. For this reason, we did not consider a refund to be warranted. Nevertheless, solely as a gesture of goodwill and in an effort to resolve the matter amicably, we agreed to provide the partial refund you requested, even though our policies would not normally allow compensation in these circumstances. Refunds are generally reserved for genuine, verifiable situations beyond a guest’s control, such as flight cancellations or similar unforeseen events. We are extremely proud of the reputation we have built over many years and of the hundreds of five-star reviews we have received from guests around the world, many of whom specifically praise Luciano and the professionalism, hospitality, and dedication of our entire team. As you have chosen to pursue this matter with both TripAdvisor and your bank, we will cooperate fully by providing all relevant documentation, including messages, call records, and photographs that clearly document the events of the day. We had already contacted TripAdvisor while the tour was still taking place after being informed by the restaurant of the difficulties that arose with their staff, which unfortunately also affected our business. We remain confident that we delivered the experience exactly as advertised and booked. While we always welcome fair and honest feedback, we also have a responsibility to protect our company from statements that we believe are inaccurate and misleading. For that reason, we reserve all rights to defend our reputation and legal interests should it become necessary.
