Absolutely brilliant tour with an exceptional guide Kevin. His knowledge was second to none and humour was delicately applied to lighten the mood on a very dark and somber story. I took my parents and then immediately booked Kevin for the next morning for my wife to do that tour it was that good!
Our tour with Taxi Tours Belfast Ltd was one of the highlights of our trip. The driver-guide was knowledgeable, professional, and provided a balanced and insightful explanation of Belfast's history, including the political murals and the stories behind them. Our 11-year-old children absolutely loved it, which is not always easy with historical tours. The guide explained complex topics in a way that was interesting and accessible for both adults and children. Travelling by taxi allowed us to see much more of the city comfortably and gave us plenty of opportunities to ask questions. Highly recommended for families and anyone wanting to better understand Belfast's past and present.
Our guide was awesome very knowledgeable, and gave us a great insight to the history of Northern Ireland. Highly recommend this company.
We did the three hour ultimate political tour and it was well worth it. Our guide was honest, funny, and open for discussion. We came in with a bit of knowledge and left with a better understanding. I think we would both say we see the world differently afterwards and it encouraged us to continue to read and research. The booking was incredibly easy. If you are a history and politics buff this is for you. Also, if you value perspective and meeting people from other walks of life, do it. Thank you to our amazing driver Jim. This was well worth the price of admission.
Our tour guide John was thorough, accommodating, and offered every detail I would have possibly wanted. Amazing experience, and I learned a great deal. Bucket list experience!
A fabulous day with our guide David! He knew what we wanted to see and added in some off the path extras that made the day so enjoyable! We had two teenagers with us and they loved it as well. Would highligh recommend over an excursion booked with a cruise line - book direct! We did the full day tour and it was well worth the cost to get to see so much of the coastline and in-town.
Fabulous tour! Highly recommend. My guide, Michael, did a fantastic job of giving a balanced perspective of both unionists and nationalists. The murals are quite stirring. We ended at the Irish Republican History Museum, a free museum, set up by the family of Eileen Hickey. It has many, many artifacts, handcrafted by republican prisoners beginning in 1798 through The Troubles.
Joe was our guide and he was fantastic! he was very knowledgeable and fairly presented both sides of the story about the troubles in Belfast. It is a tour that everyone should take to understand more about the impact of sectarian violence of the past that still affects life in Northern Ireland.
Fantastic tour to see the murals. Our guide, Joe P, explained all the murals and the complicated history that's been around for so long. We learned so much of all the things we only seen on the news decades ago. Joe was witty, funny and really enthusiastic. It was a great tour, recommend it!!!
We really enjoyed our tour. Our guide was very informative and we were all mega interested and asked lots of questions. We came away feeling that we had learned a lot, about a hugely difficult time in the history of Ireland.
