Excellent service, excellent staff

We booked a private 5 day tour with guide and driver, itinerary tailored to our requests as well as great suggestions from the tour operator. We were lucky enough to be paired with our guide Rajan Bista, who was excellent in his knowledge, matched only with his hospitality. We already booked our hotel, so we just provided the tour operator with our desired itinerary, and they were able to give great feedback and suggestions to optimize it. Luckily they caught that we had planned to do Tiger's Nest too early in our itinerary, running the risk of altitude sickness. We moved it to the last day, and had a spectacular hike with no ill health effects. Rajan was excellent even before we landed in Bhutan. He was clear in his communication, punctual and responsible. He had been waiting hours ahead of our arrival in the airport to ensure we were well taken care of. He was knowledgeable of Bhutanese history, culture, wildlife and religion and was able to explain everything in detail. He was very flexible with the itinerary, and went out to find the best photo spots for me. We attended the Paro Tsechu festival, a vibrant 5 day annual religious festival. By the time we arrived, locals had already been there since dawn, and I was only able to get standing room on a hill overlooking the stage. Rajan actually talked to the police and explained that my group had 2 elderly visitors, and was able to get them a seat in the shade right in front of the stage! I had no issue with standing, but the elderly members of my group would not have been able to last the 3 hours we spent at the festival. Another example of him going above and beyond was when he rummaged through the trail at Tiger's Nest to look for a walking stick for the elderly members of my group. He even accompanied them step by step the entire downhill hike. He truly made our tour comfortable, safe, fun and memorable.

Our 5-day trip to Bhutan with Asia Valleys Tours & Travels was absolutely amazing. Just came back from Bhutan after spending 8D7N there. I celebrated my 30th birthday here and I would say that this is already part of my fave countries I visited by far. I really want to thank Mr. Bharat Gurung (CEO) who helped me from the very beginning. He was very flexible on my requests and he even met me personally to greet me and surprise me with a birthday cake which I truly appreciate. Throughout my stay, he always checked in on me if I was doing okay. I also want to thank my guides that joined me, Mr. Tashi Tobgay (tour guide) and Mr. Dechen Wangchuk (driver). I always felt safe and comfortable with them all throughout my trip. They were always patient, attentive, and caring. I learned a lot about Bhutan because of their wonderful insights. I remember one conversation with them that their number one priority is to make their client happy and satisfied. Overall, everything was smooth and seamless (itinerary, hotels, and food). I can't wait to go back to this country and explore with them again. 😄
