Ich komme ursprünglich aus Portugal. Bei meinen Touren geht es nicht nur um Fakten und Daten, sondern mehr darum, Ihnen einen ausgewogenen Blick auf finnische Kultur, Geschichte, Wirtschaft und Alltag zu geben. Die Tour ist zu Fuß um die Stadt zu besuchen Orte und wir werden ein Auto nehmen, wenn Sie die Orte besuchen, die näher sind. Die Helsinki Central Library Oodi ist ein lebendiger Treffpunkt am Kansalaistori-Platz, mitten im Herzen von Helsinki. Sie ist eine von 37 Zweigstellen der Stadtbibliothek Helsinki und Teil des Helmet-Bibliotheksnetzes. Oodi ergänzt das Kultur- und Medienzentrum, das aus dem Helsinki Music Centre, der Finlandia Hall, dem Sanoma House und dem Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma besteht. Oodi ist ein nicht-kommerzieller, urbaner öffentlicher Raum, der allen offen steht, direkt gegenüber dem Parlamentsgebäude.
Das Denkmal des weltberühmten Komponisten Jean Sibelius von Eila Hiltunen befindet sich im Sibelius-Park. Das Sibelius-Denkmal, das Orgelpfeifen ähnelt, besteht aus geschweißtem Stahl. Das Denkmal ist eine der beliebtesten Statuen Helsinkis und eine der bekanntesten Touristenattraktionen, ein perfekter Ort für ein schönes Foto und um mehr über Sibelius zu erfahren.
Rock Church ist ein Zwischenstopp, um die erstaunliche Architektur zu bewundern, eine der Hauptattraktionen in Helsinki. Die im Herzen von Helsinki Rock gelegene Kirchenhalle ist mit einer Kuppel bedeckt, mit Kupfer ausgekleidet und auf dem Felsen gestützt. Aufgrund ihrer hervorragenden Akustik ist die Kirche ein beliebter Veranstaltungsort für Konzerte.
Die Uspenski-Kathedrale von Helsinki, mit ihren goldenen Kuppeln und der roten Backsteinfassade, ist die Kirche eines der deutlichsten Symbole des russischen Einflusses auf die finnische Geschichte.
Der Hauptbahnhof von Helsinki, eine Perle unter Helsinkis Jugendstilgebäuden, entworfen von Eliel Saarinen.
Der Senatsplatz und seine Umgebung bilden ein einzigartiges Beispiel neoklassizistischer Architektur. Der Platz wird von vier Gebäuden dominiert, die von Carl Ludvig Engel entworfen wurden, der Kathedrale von Helsinki, dem Regierungspalast, dem Hauptgebäude der Universität von Helsinki und der Nationalbibliothek von Finnland.
Der beliebte Esplanade Park ist der berühmteste Park Finnlands, das grüne Herz von Helsinki. Während des Sommers viel Musik, Aufführungen, viele Picknicks, finnische Designläden, Cafés, Restaurants und ein schöner Spaziergang rund um den Marktplatz.

Paulo was very kind, he was with us since we landed, he took us to see the city, the main tourist attractions, he gave us tips on cafes, shops and restaurants. It was really cool to learn a little more about the history of this beautiful place and how the people live. At the end of the trip we went to Porvoo, a small medieval town with wooden houses, super cool! I recommend 😊

Paulos tour thoughout Helsinki was simply amazing. What can you expect? An extremely pleasant and kind gentleman with good manners (very important for us), a great sense of humour (his Portuguese background), a clean, comfortable car (and safe driving!), lots of inside information about the city - and most importantly: a lot of fun! From taking a look at the icebreakers of the Baltic sea to the Russian church and the food market - great value for money! What I really think distinguishes Paulo from other fantastic local guides is that he has the ability to look at Helsinki and the Nordics not only as a resident of the city but also as someone who had to get accustomed to the Nordics himself. So he broadened our perspective of the city quite substantially. Bottom line: the trip was a birthday present for my wife and she absolutely loved it. We flew in from Frankfurt, Germany, in September and Paulo picked us up at the airport which was a very pleasant experience. Top man!

Paolo picked us up from the airport and drove us around Helsinki showing us the most amazing places of interest in the city , he took us to a food market to get something to eat at the end and then took us back to the airport in time to catch our flight.
