Pretoria-Stadtrundfahrt und Cullinan-Mine-Tour ab Johannesburg

My wife and I enjoyed this delightful day tour, starting from Johannesburg, of the Cullinan Diamond Mine and Pretoria highlights.  Strongly recommended if you are visiting Johannesburg as it is easy to overlook the city of Pretoria, almost a twin city of Jo'burg.  Pretoria, one of South Africa's capital cities, offers much history and a quite different city character.  Our guide Marvin was excellent: not only courteous and very willing to adjust the tour to suit our interests but he also had a deep knowledge of South Africa's culture and history.  It was great to have frank discussions with Marvin of South Africa's achievements and challenges.  One point to note: visitors over the age of 65 will receive a health check before touring the Diamond Mine.  You may be refused entry if you have health issues e.g. high blood pressure.

Marvin was an excellent, knowledgeable, and professional guide. He made the day move quickly, and really knew his subject. I highly recommend this tour.

My wife and I went of this tour with Marvin with African Moja and had the best experience. Marvin was very knowledgeable of South Africa history, Johannesburg and Pretoria. Our First stop was the Cullinan Diamond Mine where we were led on tour by a mine engineer who had in depth college of the mine and its work processes. The tour was over 2 hours and very comprehensive. Marvin continued the tour by driving to Pretoria where we drove past the President’s and Vice Presidents homes. We ended up at the Union Buildings where they each have large offices. There were lovely gardens and a huge statue of Nelson Mandela. Next we went to Paul Kruger’s home for a tour and finished at the Voortrekker Monument. Martin gave us a very detailed explanation of the history behind the monument and the panels inside. It was a great way to wind up the day. I can’t recommend Marvin enough.

The Cullinan Mine tour was really interesting and well organised. The Pretoria part of the tour was excellent as was our guide Sello.

This full day tour is a well-packed and well-organised tour. The Cullinan mine was the highlight of the day for us, but our 'Pretoria experience' was perfect as well. Our guide, Michael was helpful and informative. He did his best to make that day enjoyable. At the end of the day you will be richer in your mind and soul. You will meet history of South Africa and you will be involved into formation of today's South Africa. You will understand more and deeper the country (not only diamond mining:-). Highly recommended. It is not worth missing.

This was a very pleasant experience, eventhough it was raining. Our guide Gabriel was very kind and explained very well. We visited the mine first, where we saw replicas of famous diamonds and learnt about the plant and the process of extraction, and then we did a quick visit to Pretoria, stoping at the war memorial, the Paul Krueger house and the president's office. The only thing I regret is that there was no time for lunch, so we were starving by the end of the tour. Other than that, everything was very good and interesting

Great day with Sello my guide. Got a personal tour with great insights into the listed tour destinations. SelIo is very knowledgeable and friendly. Wonderful way to spend a day exploring the area. Transportation was clean and comfortable and water was readily available. Highly recommend this trip

Since the reception at the hotel where we were picked up, Marvin, our guide, was super attentive, helpful and told us a lot about the giant history of South Africa.

Excellent tour. Marvin is a font of knowledge and an excellent driver and guide. The tour of Cullinan Diamond Mine is extremely interesting and you also hit the highlights of Pretoria. Highly recommended!
