Wir besuchen das Archäologische Heiligtum von Pachacamac, nur 30 km entfernt. südlich von Lima. Es wurde in Adobe mit Blick auf das Meer und das Lurin-Tal gebaut.

Nach der Ankunft der Inkas wurde der Komplex zu einem Verwaltungszentrum umgebaut, wobei die lokalen Bauten respektiert und angepasst wurden. Dort finden Sie unter anderem den Sonnentempel, den Acllahuasi, den Palast von Taurichumbi und den Pilgerplatz. Wir werden auch das Site Museum besuchen, um einen besseren Einblick zu erhalten und die geretteten Überreste der Gegend zu schätzen. Die massiven Tempel der Sonne und des Mondes sind als die auffälligsten Merkmale der Anlage bekannt. Allein beim Bau des Sonnentempels wurden schätzungsweise 50 Millionen sonnengetrocknete Ziegel verwendet. Ausgrabungen in der Gegend geben weiterhin Aufschluss über die Moche- und Huari-Kulturen, die sich von 200 bis 800 n. Chr. erstreckten.

This was a great tour and learned so much about the Pre-Inca culture! The site is massive and highly recommended this tour to help you understand all the sites in the sanctuary. But to really make the trip memorable, request Mario! He was so knowledgeable and presented the information with such passion that you were captivated the entire time!
