Unsere Entdeckungsreise startet in einem Viertel, das einst von der Arbeiterklasse geprägt war und sich heute zu einem der trendigsten Hotspots Prags entwickelt hat. Sein industrieller Charme verleiht ihm eine unvergleichliche Einzigartigkeit. Hier findet sich eine pulsierende Vielfalt an alternativen Kulturstätten und unzähligen Bistros, Cafés und Restaurants. Ein Besuch bei Libeřské lahůdky fühlt sich an wie ein Besuch bei deiner tschechischen Großmutter. Dieses Familienunternehmen stellt seit über 30 Jahren mit Leidenschaft traditionelle tschechische Kuchen, Sandwiches und andere Köstlichkeiten her. Ihr werdet ihr Vorzeigeprodukt verschlingen, für das die ganze Stadt verrückt ist.
Diese ehemalige Fabrik bietet eine einzigartige Mischung aus industriellen Räumlichkeiten mit einer Vielfalt an kulturellen, künstlerischen und gastronomischen Erlebnissen. Unter einem Dach findet ihr ein Café, ein Tanzstudio, ein Kino, eine Veranstaltungshalle, eine Galerie, einen Multimedia-Raum, einen Foodtruck und eine Destillerie. Seid ihr bereit zu probieren?
Der nächste Halt führt uns zu einem ehemaligen Schlachthofgelände. Aber keine Sorge! Was früher für seine industriellen Gerüche bekannt war, hat sich zum coolen und hippen Epizentrum für Kultur und Gastronomie entwickelt. Es ist wie Prags eigenes Soho, angereichert mit dem industriellen Charme Chicagos. Außerdem ist es eine touristenfreie Zone, wo ihr frische Produkte von lokalen Bauern auf dem größten und authentischsten Bauernmarkt der Stadt genießen könnt.
Was sich die Prager seit Jahrzehnten erträumt haben, ist nun Realität: Eine Fußgängerbrücke verbindet zwei angesagte Stadtteile. Die elegante, moderne Architektur fügt sich nahtlos in Prags historische Skyline ein. Seid unter den Ersten, die diese Brücke überqueren und vielleicht sogar ein kurzes Bad im Fluss bei der Štvanice-Insel nehmen?
Nach einer großen Flut verwandelte sich dieses ehemalige Ghetto in das charmante Viertel Karlín, das heute als das Refugium der Hipster bekannt ist. Und die lokale Gastronomie? Einfach zu lecker, um zu widerstehen.
Die Kirche der Heiligen Kyrill und Method ist eines der größten religiösen Bauwerke des 19. Jahrhunderts in der Tschechischen Republik. Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts erbaut, zählt sie zu den bedeutendsten architektonischen Wahrzeichen des neuromanischen Stils.
Früher marschierten hier Hunderte von Soldaten; heute ist es ein Ort für Spaß und Entspannung. Diese Kasernen sind zu einem beliebten Treffpunkt für Besucher aller Generationen geworden. Die Hauptattraktionen befinden sich im zentralen Innenhof und umfassen einen riesigen Sandkasten, ein Open-Air-Kino, einen Mini-Aussichtsturm, eine Bar, eine Sauna und einen Beachvolleyballplatz. In dem Bereich, wo sich einst das militärische Schwimmbad befand, findet man heute ein stilvolles Café. Die Garagen wurden in einen Musikclub und eine fantastische Galerie umgewandelt.

We enjoyed this experience touring neighborhoods and experiencing what "life like a local" looks and feels like. The tour included stops at a local pastry shop, Prague's only distillery, busy local farmers market, local wine shop and lunch savoring local favorites. Authentic Prague Food Tour If you want to get a sampling of what the locals eat and drink in Prague and an overview of the city while you’re doing it, this tour is for you! Tomàs was an outstanding guide and we enjoyed his company as well as his expertise. This was a great beginning to our stay in Prague. Drinking wine on the sidewalk outside a local wine spot with the snow falling was a highlight!

Thomas was great, we met and we were immediately immersed in Prague's rich history and delightful delicacies. From the beer and wine to the meats, cheeses and garlic stuffed peppers, the entire time we were together was full of laughter and delight. Tomas, took us to some unique food stops and made sure we got to know a lot about traditional Czech food. He was also very knowledgeable about the culture and gave us a great insight into daily life. Great walking and food tour! We had already tried a lot of local food, but we tried new stuff and learned about its role in culture, parties, family. Tomáš was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were in a nice neighborhood but it wasn’t touristy. The whole experience felt authentic. Definitely recommend Tomáš and the experience

Tomas was a great host. We meandered from place to place trying Czech delicacies we would never have found on our own. He told us stories as an accompaniment to the food that shared the local culture and history.
