Eine Reise in die 2 Millionen alte Höhle mit einem spektakulären Inneren. Die Höhle von Postojna ist eine beeindruckende Höhle mit weltweitem Wiedererkennungswert, die in 200 Jahren seit ihrer Eröffnung bereits 38 Millionen Besucher erreicht hat. Ein Wunder geschah, als der Fluss Pivka seinen Weg in die unterirdische Welt bahnte und zuerst eine Höhle und später ein atemberaubendes Inneres mit einem fantastischen Netz aus Tunneln, Galerien, Hallen und Gängen schuf. Ein malerisches Karstphänomen schuf auch einzigartige Naturkreationen wie Stalaktiten, Stalagmiten, Vorhänge, versteinerte Wasserfälle und Höhlenperlen. Eines der endlosen Wunder in der Höhle ist auch der sogenannte »menschliche Fisch« oder »Proteus« - ein blindes Tier, das sich vor allem durch seine Anpassung an ein Leben in völliger Dunkelheit in seinem unterirdischen Lebensraum auszeichnet.

Matic was a very engaging guide which made the visits even better. And of course both stops were worth the visit.
It was a great day! The castle was fun, but for me the highlight was the cave. Along with seeing the cave itself, we got to meet some of the blind cave salamaders!

Lake Bled, Postojna Cave, and Predjama Castle were all great, but DJ really made the day special. The weather was pouring, and he got completely soaked, yet he stayed positive, energetic, and attentive throughout the tour. He genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great experience. Initially, we benchmarked self travel to these places, but the price is well worth it. We had David as our guide, knowledgable and entertaining in sharing lots of information about the area and Slovenia during the journeys. The castle section was brisk, but this was appropriate enough to get all the info, a few pictures and a very brief cafe stop. However, if there’s crowds you’ll need to make sure to work through these to maximise what you see. The caves were great too, pick up was easy, we head to the map pin provided and David exited the van and approached us, makes it much easier than hesitantly asking around trying to find out which we are to go to. Overall, cannot fault the tour/experience and have already booked another trip tomorrow with this operator.
From start to finish, the organization of this tour completely justified the price. Predjama Castle left us speechless. Cave stunning! Every detail of this trip was handled perfectly, and we loved every minute!

Our guide( sorry name eludes me) was simply the best. As we drove to the Castle and Caves and back his passing on of information relating to culture and history of Slovenia was really good. Beth venues simply stunning…….The Caves were awe inspiring. Well organised trip….given enough time in each venue to thoroughly appreciate everything.
Very good trip. I think max people would. be about 10 which is perfect. Guide Matic spoke very good English knew a lot about Slovenia. He was also good at letting us know it would be 10 degrees in the caves so being more clothes
Amazing tour! The cave and the castle are truly spectacular and definitely among the highlights of Slovenia. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating throughout the day. The small semi-private group made the experience even better - there were only six of us on the tour, which made it very comfortable and personal. A fantastic experience overall, and I highly recommend it!
