We had a brilliant time exploring Pompeii yesterday. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, funny and very accommodating of our 9 month old son in a pram. He took some excellent photos for us too. Would fully recommend the experience to anyone who is wanting to see some key sites in Pompeii.
Having a guided tour was a fabulous way to experience Pompei. Roberta, our guide was knowledgeable, funny and bought a wonderful insight into everyday life in Pompei. Would highly recommend.
We were in a group of 10 total and had the express tour lasting just under 2 hours. The guide was very knowledgable and entertaining and it helped to have us to have a great overview of Pompei which would otherwise be a difficult to do for the first time. There is the option to stay longer on the site after the tour finishes although by then we were too hot to do that. I'd recommend avoiding very hot sunny days if possible but there is some shade and the museum is air conditioned.
An absolutely wonderful way to explore Pompeii. My group’s guide was Vincenzo and he was full of knowledge, funny, and engaging. Without him, there is so much of the history I would have missed.
One of the best historical sites tours we’ve ever had. Mafalda gave us an awesome tour of Pompeii! Thanks very much! It was a super hot day, toured between 12-2 pm, but it was worth it.
Amazing Tour of Pompeii Our guide made the tour of Pompeii an unforgettable experience. She was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history to life with engaging stories and insights. I learned so much and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended — thank you for a fantastic visit!
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Mary today. The ruins of Pompeii were incredible. We were in awe of it all. Mary was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. We were impressed with how much she knew and what she does to stay up to date as new discoveries are made. My favorite aspect of her tour is how she described the settings (picture statues and art and garlands and couches) and related details to today's culture (the forum was like Facebook) to help us imagine what it was like at that time. We all agree that was the best tour and guide of our trip so far! And the bar was set high!
Susi is as an accommodating and flexible tour guide. She efficiently took us to the highlights and we were able to cover a lot in 2 hours
I had booked a small group two hour tour with an archaeologist, Mondo. Where great with communication and had called the day before to say my early tour did not have enough people and could I come later? Our group consisted of myself and a family of 5. Our guide I think his name was Andreas, was great, in two hours we only scratched the surface of the site, I wish I had booked longer. But we covered quite a lot of dusty ground. He was very knowledgeable and was friendly to everyone in the group. Finding the meeting point was a little chaotic but we all got there in the end.
Very well organised, small group and with ear piece for everyone so no worry if you’re near the back, you don’t miss anything. Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. We saw all the major points of interest including a couple of spots I’d not seen on previous visits. She also dealt well with some visitors from a cruise ship whose friends had missed the bus and were late, happy to wait a few minutes but misdial of the majority of guests.
