Der Karon Viewpoint ist einer der meistbesuchten Aussichtspunkte in Phuket. Von hier aus haben Sie Aussicht auf die Strände Kata Noi, Kata Yai und Karon.
Vom Windmill Viewpoint aus können Sie unter den Rotorblättern, die Strom für die Region erzeugen (der offizielle Name lautet "Phromthep Alternative Energy Station"), vorbeifahrenden Seeverkehr beobachten, von Langheckbooten mit ihren lang umgebauten Lkw-Motoren bis hin zu Fischerboote fahren in die Andaman, zu Öltankern und sogar zu Kreuzfahrtschiffen in Megagröße, die aus Singapur kommen und zurück nach Singapur fahren. Fliegende Dinge Windmill Viewpoint ist auch ein Treffpunkt für Modellflugzeug-Enthusiasten sowie für Drachenflieger, die die tropische Thermik reiten und schließlich eine anmutige Landung am Nai Harn Beach antreten. Weit oben und manchmal parallel zum Hügel gleiten Brahminy-Drachen und Seeadler anmutig vorbei. Man könnte sich verzeihen, dass Windmill Viewpoint bei all diesen Aktivitäten in der Luft überfüllt ist: Es ist alles andere als, vor allem, weil es nur sehr wenig Parkplätze gibt. Es ist jedoch nicht nur ein erstklassiger Aussichtspunkt für den Sonnenuntergang. Es ist auch ein ganztägig attraktiver Ort mit einem besonders azurblauen Meer zur Mittagszeit.
Promthep Cape ist einer der meistfotografierten und vielleicht bekanntesten Orte der Insel. Jeden Abend fahren große Reisebusse, Motorroller und Privatwagen über Rawai Beach und den südlichsten Hügel der Insel, um den Sonnenuntergang auf seinem Höhepunkt zu beobachten. Auf dem Gipfel des Hügels steht ein belebter Parkplatz, auf dem Fahrzeuge Menschenmassen aus allen Teilen der Welt ausschütten.
(eröffnet ab März 2026) Phukets Big Buddha ist eines der wichtigsten und verehrtesten Wahrzeichen der Insel. Das riesige Bild liegt auf den Nakkerd Hills zwischen Chalong und Kata und ist mit 45 Metern Höhe von Phuket Town und Karon Beach aus so weiter Entfernung zu sehen. Der hochgelegene Platz bietet den besten 360-Grad-Blick auf die Insel, mit weitem Blick auf Phuket-Stadt, Kata, Karon, Chalong Bay und mehr. Relativ leicht erreichbar über eine kurvenreiche 6 km lange Straße, die von Phukets Hauptverkehrsaderroute führt, ist sie ein Muss für einen Inselbesuch.
Wats - oder buddhistische Tempel - gehören zu den wichtigsten Symbolen Thailands, teils weil die Mehrheit der Thailänder Buddhisten sind, teils weil sie so schön sind. Allein in Phuket gibt es 29 buddhistische Tempel, die auf der ganzen Insel verteilt sind. Wat Chalong heißt Besucher seit über einem Jahrhundert herzlich willkommen. Einheimische kommen, um zu beten, und Westler kommen, um etwas über den Buddhismus zu lernen.
Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen thailändischen Provinzhauptstädten strahlt Phuket Town eine gewisse Persönlichkeit aus und nirgendwo so wie in der Altstadt. In diesem historisch reichen Teil der Stadt finden Sie Schreine, Tempel (buddhistische und chinesische), kunstvolle und wunderschön erhaltene "Läden", urige Cafés, winzige Druckereien, spontane private und öffentliche Museen und sogar ein Mini-Rotlichtviertel. Die Altstadt von Phuket wurde auf Reichtümern errichtet, die aus Phukets Zinnboom des letzten Jahrhunderts stammen, als das Metall ein äußerst wertvolles Gut war. In diesem Viertel der Stadt sehen Sie grandiose sino-koloniale Villen, die vor 100 Jahren von Phukets Zinnbaronen besetzt wurden. Die Altstadt von Phuket ist kompakt genug, um einen Spaziergang zu machen. Die beste Zeit dafür ist der frühe Morgen oder nachdem der Tag seine Hitze verloren hat.
Khao Rang Hill ist einer der berühmtesten Aussichtspunkte von Phuket. Der nordwestlich des Stadtzentrums gelegene Gipfel bietet einen Blick über die Stadt, den Süden der Insel, die Nachbarinseln und die Hügel, die das Rückgrat der Insel bilden, auf denen sich der beeindruckende große Buddha von Phuket befindet. Mit einem schön angelegten Park mit Kinderspielplatz, drei Restaurants und Bars, einem Fitnesspark und einer 2014 erbauten Panoramaterrasse, die den Aussichtspunktstatus des Khao Rang-Gipfels bestätigt, ist der Ort attraktiv und bietet seinen Besuchern einen Hauch frischer Luft die Hauptstadt der Insel Phuket.
Der Banzaan-Markt wurde von einer bekannten Phuket-Familie ins Leben gerufen, die den Käufern eine andere Erfahrung als den Besuch eines typischen lokalen Marktes bieten wollte. Das Wort „Banzaan“ bedeutet Frischmarkt in Hokkien, einem chinesischen Dialekt, der in vielen chinesischen Gemeinden in Südostasien beliebt ist.

We did a city tour in Phuket City today and overall the experience was underwhelming. The guide mainly drove us from place to place and only spoke when we asked direct questions. We expected a more informative, engaging, and lively tour, especially given this was a guided experience. At the end of the tour, we asked to be taken to a massage place and were brought to Mookda Spa, which felt like a tourist trap and not something we would recommend. It gave the impression that the stop may have been commission-based rather than chosen for quality or value. Overall, the tour did not meet our expectations.

This was a nice tour, hit all the stops on the itinerary except the Bazaar. We didn’t get so much history about Phuket. We were the only ones on the tour which was a little od. Halfway through the guide picked up his wife who couldn’t speak English. Once he picked her up - he stayed sleeping in the car while she took us around. When it was lunch, we offered to pay for (and did) their lunch and he still asked for a tip at the end.
It was just the 2 of us on this tour, but wongsak boonkong our tour guide was excellent, he took us to all of the attractions as stated on Tripadvisor! Being a local his knowledge of the area was exceptional, also because it was just the two of us, we asked him to join us for lunch which was very special. Highly recommended and 🙏🙏 Soon!

No-one showed up to take me on the tour. They told me that they were 20 minutes late and that I wasn’t there. I waited almost an hour but they were a no show and they did not answer their phone the day before so that I could confirm pick up or the day of the tour. We tried to contact them at least 6 times.
Dear Lynette Bishop, You put Australian phone number in your booking and we tried to contact with you by WhatsApp and have sent you messages, but didn’t get a respond. Also we have sent all pick up details trough Viator chat. The driver with a guide was late for 20 min and we informed about that when hotel staff called to us, but when guide come to you hotel they didn’t find you there. Anyway, we had issued a full refund for this booking. We are sorry that this experience was unsuccessful and wish you only successful experiences in the future.
Lots of seeing and doing. Very extensive and for that money you really can't complain. Seen monkeys and can pet elephant. Only not nice that we are the only Dutchman in a full bus with Russians and therefore got no explanation. Also very strange that you don't get lunch when it ends around 3:30 pm

Was an amazing tour apart from stopping to feed the baby elephant that was in a really small cage. We didn't know this was part of the tour. If we were aware of this, would never have booked this tour. Also, the tour is advertised as English Speaking tour guide but our tour was 95% in Russian which neither myself nor my partner speak or understand. This tour should be advertised as Russian Speaking and not English Speaking! The tour guide gave us a very brief description at the first couple of stops, but after that it was just to tell us how long we have at the stop!

We booked through trip advisor using reviews which we thought sounded better than those you can book in patong town. Once all 4 other pick ups were completed in the morning, we soon found we were the only British ones on the tour, everyone else was Russian including the tour guide. Despite this, we were ensured that we would still be included by the tour guide providing the information first to us then in Russian. On multiple occasions, we were bypassed and not spoken to by the guide therefore missing parts. Most of the trip, the tour guide was more interested in his own personal phone than the job he was being paid for! The very worst part of this is experience was the surprise we were told about half way through.. we stopped at a side road to ‘feed and meet Bella’. Bella was an alone elephant cornered into a tiny enclosure marked off with scaffold poles, commanded to complete the same 4 poses for the tourist paying 100baht for a bowl of food. THIS WAS NOT WHAT WE BOOKED OR SPECIFIED ON TRIP ADVISOR BOOKING INFORMATION. We are not tourist who exploit such beautiful creatures so we were beyond furious. Secondly, the tour felt very rushed. No lunch was included which we understood but we were given no time to find anything to eat despite it being an all day trip. We therefore wasted our time at Phuket old town finding a quite bite to eat, meaning we saw little of the famous walking street at all. As previously stated, this was meant to be an all day trip yet we were back by 3pm at the latest, with the tour guide being home at 2 as he was dropped off before we were even back in patong! (Perhaps that’s not part of his job but we haven’t had that on the other trips!) Combining the parts of the trips which were not included in the booking information along with the feeling we were just constantly getting in and out of the mini bus all day, I would not recommend with this company. However I would recommend the trip to big Buddha, Buddhist temple and the viewpoints

It is a half day tour. Visited Karon beach. Took pictures of Kata beach and View Point. Took pictures of rawai. Spectular views the beach are crystal clear. Went to Chalong Temple visited the Buda. Went to the nut factory. Also visited a gem factory and saw a video of how gems are made. Passed through phuket Town and saw the old town. It is a good trip to see lovely beachs

Tour was great, there were only 4 of us in total and they still went ahead with the day. Tour guide was very informative and took lots of photos for us. Good way to see lots of Phuket and main attractions.
