PROCEED WITH CAUTION WHEN BOOKING THIS ACTIVITY. I booked with this company and was charged more for the park alone than what a combo park-palace ticket costs at the ticket counter at Sintra. The booking process is very misleading as you are prompted to pick a time, which is only required for the palace. In addition, it says in bold Palace AND Park Tickets and only reads "park only" in fine print after booking. Be very careful when booking that you are getting a combo ticket which includes both the park and palace. Or just wait to buy upon arrival where tickets are cheaper anyway.

Once in a lifetime opportunity to visit the Pena Palace was ruined by unprofessional tour company. We booked in advance in order to get in during a timed slot. We received meeting intructions. On the morning of our visit our reservation still said "pending'. When I reached out they promptly cancelled citing "technical issues". It was too late to secure tickets to enter the palace at that point. We visited the grounds, which were expansive. But missing out on entering the Pena Palace, the prime attraction in Sintra is inexcusable. Do not book this!

When we arrived at the palace, they scanned ours tickets and the tickets would not work…the tickets were invalid…so basically we got scammed

My tickets had the wrong bar code on them, so I wasn't able to use the ticket for my tour. I paid $190 for a no-wait experience, and wasn't even able to use them. Their website offers no way that I could find to complain or request a refund. This company should be avoided! I wouldn't recommend!!

There is no possibility of incorrect or invalid barcode being shared. In many cases, such issues occur when tickets are not scanned at the correct entrance or location, or if the instructions are not followed properly. We always share complete details, including entry points and usage instructions, via WhatsApp. We also provide full customer support, and the customer could have contacted us at the time for immediate assistance. Both Sintra and the Pena Palace have not been worth spending a day outside Lisbon. Better to stay in Lisbon. The Palace itself is nothing spectacular, there are many better refurbished in Europe that are more easily accessible and entrance free. Here you have to pay for the bus to take you to the mountain, then another bus from the stop to the Palace, then a ticket for the park and for the Palace. All in all, too costly for nothing.
We purchased tickets for 1300, waited in line for an hour then the security told us our tickets were for 1600 and denied us entry. Viator refused to issue a refund even though they sold us invalid tickets. This is a scam

Be prepared to be overrun with tour groups pushing and shoving their way through. Arrive much earlier than you think you should and stay longer than you think you will. Be patient. It’s a beautiful building and grounds but way too many other people.
Great experience, amazing palace and surroundings, the Sintra town also incredible interesting and beautiful, lovely places to eat and buy high quality souvenirs

Tickets purchased included palace (reaerved for 11:00am) and park entrance. We were told at the palace ticket office that our ticket did not include palace tickets. Sent email to viator and message the agent of the iasue. No response and up to no1lw have not heard back from Viator nor agent.

We went through the ticket gate because we received the entry tickets from Dream Fly Tourism the day before, and spent some time walking around while waiting for the start time. As instructed, we messaged on WhatsApp to connect with the guide. We did receive a reply, but when we asked where exactly to meet, there was no further response. Unfortunately, this meant we completely missed the tour. This was really disappointing as it disrupted our entire day and travel plans. We made every effort to be on time and follow the directions given, but without clear communication from the guide, we were left without the experience we paid for. We even sent a complaint and possible partial refund to Dream Fly Tourism and still have not received a response. Very unprofessional!
