Der Mythos der Entstehung Roms ist untrennbar mit diesem einzigartigen Gebäude verbunden. Vom heiligen Tempel und den Feldern des Mars, die ursprünglich außerhalb der Stadtmauern Roms lagen, bis zum Gründer Romulus. Das spätere augusteische Bauwerk steht heute, zweitausend Jahre später, noch immer in perfektem Zustand, dank der Kirche, zu der es geworden ist – in der Welt der Basiliken verschmelzen heidnische und christliche. Die Gräber von König und Königin und die gewaltige Asche von Rafael liegen hier für die Ewigkeit.
Das Äußere des Pantheons, seine Säulen, die kreisförmige Tempelanlage, die Erläuterungen zu den Schichten der Geschichte (das Denkmal ermöglicht uns einen Blick in die Vergangenheit und hilft uns so, uns vorzustellen, was in der Zukunft kommen wird). Die Kuppel mit ihrem überraschenden und einzigartigen Oculus (zum Himmel hin offen) – der Ort, an dem Romulus vom Blitz getroffen wurde (so heißt es).

Neat tour of the Pantheon with our very helpful tour guide. Nice & easy meeting process to find our guide and the tour was great.
We had a wonderful experience on this skip-the-line Pantheon tour. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared fascinating history and details that brought the Pantheon to life. The skip-the-line access was well worth it and saved us a lot of time, making the entire visit smooth and stress-free. The guide also did a great job keeping the group organized and answering questions. We highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to truly appreciate one of Rome's most iconic landmarks!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions.
I unfortunately cannot recommend this tour - while the tour guide was lovely, paying nearly $50 USD for a tour that lasted less than an hour with a 5 Euro entry fee was certainly not worth it. Additionally, a chapel service was starting at the end of our scheduled tour which kept interrupting our tour guide and made the tour feel rushed. While the Pantheon is great to visit, it would be best to do so without a tour guide.

The Pantheon tour is designed to provide historical context, insights, and stories that visitors would otherwise miss when exploring independently. We understand, however, that the value of a guided experience can vary from person to person. For some visitors, the additional historical and cultural context greatly enriches the visit, while others may prefer simply to enjoy the monument at their own pace for purely aesthetic reasons. In that sense, whether a guided tour represents good value is often a matter of personal preference. Regarding the duration of the tour, the scheduled visit can sometimes be affected by events taking place inside the Pantheon, including religious services, which occasionally take priority and are beyond our control. The tour is, however, one hour in duration, as advertised, and was conducted within the scheduled timeframe. We regret that the service interrupted your visit. At the same time, these occasions offer a rather unique experience, as visitors are able to witness the Pantheon in active use as a place of worship and, particularly on Saturdays, enjoy moments when there are very few other visitors inside. Tough for the tour guide as there didn’t seem to be a lot to comment on regarding the pantheon, so a lot of time was spent talking about other locations. Your guide was knowledgeable but made not very energetic. Tour also kicked off late.
The Pantheon is a remarkable monument, but we understand that the amount and style of commentary can vary depending on the guide's approach. We understand how important punctuality is to our guests and the tour did start 10 minutes late because of a misunderstanding with the headsets, our entrances are however specific time slots allow us to enter on time with named entrance tickets, so all went well. This tour was the perfect way to experience the Pantheon and get a true taste of Rome. Our guide, Amanda, described herself as “cheeky,” and that perfectly captured her personality. The Pantheon was absolutely spectacular, and Amanda brought its incredible history to life. Because she has an academic background in the subject, you could tell that everything she shared came from years of study and genuine passion. We learned so much beyond the basic facts, including fascinating behind-the-scenes details that made the experience even more meaningful. We also loved that this was a small group. It was easy to hear and understand Amanda through the audio system, and there was plenty of opportunity to ask questions and interact. As an added bonus, we enjoyed delicious gelato and Prosecco at a charming family-owned neighborhood restaurant that Amanda personally frequents. The hospitality there was wonderful and made us feel like we were getting an authentic local experience rather than simply checking off another tourist attraction. If you’re looking for an intimate, informative, and genuinely enjoyable introduction to one of Rome’s most iconic sites, we highly recommend this tour.
