Best place in the city for a 360° view. Placards explain key points throughout the city which is informative and helpful.
This is wasted money even though it is cheap. 17 floors, old and worn, view because it is 100m but nothing to see. Save your money to a place where you get something back for them
Lovely views over the old town. No queues. Easy to get to from old town only 5 mins and close to markets for lunch stop
Poor. Notice on entrance says toilets on 17th floor. Paid 8€ to go up but toilets were closed. Lady in ticket office did not believe us and did not seem to care. Then someone else told us toilets are closed because it was too windy..!?!? The view was OK but nothing special...
Easy to get to the tower. Great view. Friendly staff. What else matters? On the way to central market. Delicious! Inexpensive.
The view from the top was beautiful BUT they do not accept pre-purchased tickets from Tripadvisor and we were told they have no partnership with any agency. We paid again via a machine inside the lobby - it seemed a shame not to go up as we’d made the effort to get there.
Best views in Riga, no queuing, took the elevator most of the way up and then just had to walk the final 2 floors. Worth going on a clear day to see everything. No cafes or anything at the top, but nice views and I’d say worth the 7€
Really windy on the top but beautiful panorama view of the city. Gave a good sense of location for further exploration of the city
My wife and I arrived to the Latvian Academy of Sciences building around 12:30pm. We went inside and paid the lady at the front desk 8 Euros cash per person. I believe it is cash only. Then you head up the elevator to where you may have to weave around a bit, until you reach the observation deck. It was not super busy during our visit. It was a beautiful day, and it was not too windy. Plenty of room to move around, and you can take as much time as you want. There is a restroom available there too. There are also some decent info boards to read. And yes the views are wonderful, and you can get great photos. When you are done, just head back down the elevator. It was a fun visit, well worth the time, effort, and money.
A panoramic view of the Riga skyline from a beautiful building. Situated just near to the Riga central market it’s a bit quieter than the viewing point at St Peter’s Church. A spacious roof with informative signs about prominent buildings, toilets at the top, and a lift to get up there.
