Es befindet sich in der General Güemes Gallery, einem Gebäude im späten Jugendstil, das über eine Fußgängerpassage verfügt, die Florida und San Martín verbindet. Es war das erste vollständig aus Stahlbeton errichtete Gebäude in Buenos Aires und gilt auch als der erste Wolkenkratzer der Stadt. Es besteht aus dem Astor Piazzolla Theater und dem Carlos Gardel Theater, und in beiden Räumen stechen Raffinesse, Eleganz und purer Jugendstil der Belle Epoque hervor. Piazzolla Tango ist das Zentrum für Kunst und Tangounterhaltung in Buenos Aires. Das Theater, in dem der Piazzolla Tango untergebracht ist, wurde 1915 vom italienischen Architekten Francisco Gianotti gegründet und ist eines der luxuriösesten und klassischsten Theater in ganz Buenos Aires. Wenn Sie durch das Theater und in die Tangohalle schlängeln, befinden Sie sich in der unterirdischen General Guemes Gallery im Jugendstil, wo Sie die Show genießen können. At first, everything looks normal, 1.5 hours before the show, we received a email saying our reservation was canceled (after being charged to our credit card). We immediately got in contact with TripAdvisor that was serving as a messenger to understand that the vendor, was rejecting our reservation and asking us to rebook the next day, this was impossible because we were leaving the next day. We decided to show up to the establishment to find out that due to another couple, celebrating their anniversary, the vendor, to acomodate to this couple, they just decided to cancel our reservation.. Because we were there in person, they felt pressured to honor and acomodate our previously made and paid reservation. The show was supposed to start at 9, it started at 10:20. The presentation of the food was aceptable but it took forever to be served. The quality of the meat was ok, but not for the cost of the meal. The host of the establishment were very nice and proper. The show, even it started late, was absolutely wonderful. The dancers were super professionals, the singers and musicians were second to none.. The establishment: Need to honor, first come first served. The food service: Needs to be served more on time and in a more efficient way. The quality of the meat: Come on, it's Argentina, one of the best in the world in meat production, for the price, they can do a bit better.
We chose the show only option and we could not fault the show itself, the dancers and musicians were so talented. Some aspects that werent great were that we booked the show for 9:30 but it actually started at 10. We also had the waiter interrupt us before the show ended insisting we needed to pay during the dances, requiring us to leave the table and miss the end. Overall, still worth seeing though
The show was pretty good, it does get repetitive after 30 minutes but it’s worth going to see. It lasts an hour; but it doesn’t start until 10pm. The company that organise this aren’t the best, they messaged me a link to choose my pick up point twice, but the link didn’t work for me. I communicated this with them and they took several days to reply stating that pick up is not included with the “show only” option… so why message asking for my pick up location!!
Love the whole experience the show was only an hour we were sitted by 8pm and dinner was drawn out, show didn’t start till 10pm
Great show! We went with our two teenaged girls and all loved it. My youngest plays the violin and was enthralled by the glamorous and talented concertmaster in the live orchestra. The dancers were spectacular and the setting was gorgeous. Drinks were good and not super expensive. A great last minute add to our time in BA!
We knew that Buenos Aires lives and breathes tango but tango show was a beautiful proof to all of that! Every performer, every song, every dancer and every music note from the band was beautiful, intriguing and unique. We couldn’t remove our eyes out of the stage and loved it so much. We left show with excitement, love and inspiration inside of us! Totally recommend!
It was beautiful! I recommend it 100%. The singing, the musicians and the dancers did such an amazing job. We left so happy and it was a perfect way to end our trip in Argentina.
They informed me that it would not open on a Monday and they still have not refunded my advance payment; super poor organization and they do not respond on WhatsApp.
Fantastic nights entertainment. Venue was great, show fantastic and service was very good. I recommend you do not get the hotel pick up and drop off option A 10 minute drive was late and took an hour to get to the venue.
The experience I did not live because the company, once I paid and confirmed my entry, suspends it after a few hours arguing that there is no availability.
