Unser Führer bringt Sie zum Markt von Otalvalo, wo Sie eine Menge traditioneller Kleidung und Kunsthandwerk finden, die von den Bewohnern der Zone hergestellt werden.
Bevor wir in Otavalo ankommen, passieren wir die wunderschöne Lagune von San Pablo, ganz in der Nähe von Otavalo. Ein magischer Ort für Abenteuersport und Tourismus.
Peguche ist ein wunderschöner spiritueller Ort für Einheimische, ganz in der Nähe von Otavalo. Hier können wir die wunderschöne Naturlandschaft und den Wasserfall genießen.
Cuicocha ist ein 3 km breiter Caldera- und Kratersee am Fuße des Vulkans Cotacachi in der Cordillera Occidental der ecuadorianischen Anden. Hier werden wir wunderschöne Landschaften bewundern.
Wir können auch Cotacachi besuchen, einen der führenden Lederwarenhersteller Ecuadors, und den ruhenden Vulkan Cotacachi mit Blick auf die Stadt sehen.

Great day trip from Quito. Would definitely recommend. It was just my partner and myself so we could customize the trip. We aren’t big shoppers so the market was a quick stop. Then the waterfall and ending with the lagoon. Felipe made the trip the best. Thank you Felipe.

Our high-energy guide Adrian gave our 3-person group an excellent tour. Some nice visits with local artisans, and good guidance regarding the Otavalo market. Perfect English made communication easy. Timely pickup at our accommodation was very convenient.

I find it a very nice experience, when rounding in a boat, knowing its fauna and other information about the lagoon.

This was such a treat of a trip! Experiencing the beautiful Ecuadorian scenery on the way to Otavalo was breathtaking - words and pictures cannot do it justice. Otavalo market itself was quite small and touristy, but our guide did an amazing job taking us to an authentic, locally-made store nearby. We greatly enjoyed the biscuits and lunch stops along the way. Our guide Felipe was very accommodating, an excellent and safe driver, knowledgable, and professional. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable day trip from Quito!

Great private tour with Roberto combining culture, food, and nature. Loved stopping in Cayambe to try fresh, traditional bizcochos and see the original mark of the equator line. Then had help bargaining at Otavalo’s Plaza de los Ponchos. The market is so large you could spend all day there and get lost. Then had the option between taking a boat out on Cuicocha lagoon or doing a mini hike to Peguche Waterfall. We ended the day at Cotacachi to shop for leather goods which were all so gorgeous! Roberto was friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible, which made the experience fun, relaxing and educational. We also ran into Felipe, another guide who was helpful and had many suggestions of what to do and where to go throughout the day. Highly recommend this tour!

This was a FULL DAY tour. Although most of the Viator tours for Ecuador and Quito emphasize the Otovalo market, it was very touristy and not worthwhile for us. However, our tour guide was VERY flexible and knowledgeable. He was willing to pick us up at 9am instead of 7am and we still got to see great sights outside of Quito. Instead of the market (we stopped for 5 minutes), when we said we were interested in authentic crafts he took us to a wonderful weaving gallery/store where the owners wove their own products with backstrap and floor looms. We bought a beautiful wall hanging made by the owner, and his wife does a great demonstration of the dyeing and weaving processes. Unless you are just looking for souvenirs (many appeared made in factories) and not a real textile-lover, you can skip the market or just spend a little time there. We also went to other small businesses and nature sites. Highly recommend this tour if you have time to travel out of Quito into the countryside.
Felipe was a great guide and open to changing the route and stops to suit us. We loved the biscuit stop especially. Otavalo market was quiet but colourful. We enjoyed the Cuicocha lagoon and Cotocachi for lunch
Felipe was awesome! He was able to accommodate changes in the size of my group and we ended up being 8 people that went out with him. We all had a great time and he taught us how to haggle at the market. He was also flexible and changed the itinerary based on our needs.
Trip was good. We really appreciated Felipe accommodating our priorities. This made a huge difference to us and we had a wonderful day
