This was a magnificent experience. I enjoyed it a lot. The visit to Munch happened to ne on my birthday. There is a lot to take it with seeing the exhibitions.
We spent about two hours in the museum. Easy to find on the harbour. Has a lovely cafe with friendly staff. Really interesting and well laid out. Reasonable entrance fee. £36 for two adults to get in. We were able to sit outside in the cafe overlooking the harbour and have a lovely coffee. Well worth a visit.
Spent the better part of the day at this beautiful museum. The building itself is unique. Great views of the city from each floor. Learned so much about Munch and Norway. Especially enjoyed the active engagement with rubbings of the wood carvings and LOVED finding how my original “artwork” connected to a Munch masterpiece. That was my favorite!
Marvelous museum from the rooftop views to the beautifully curated work of Edvard Munch. You see the breadth and scope of his work....so much more than ' The Scream'. But 3 renditions of that famous painting, in oils, crayon sketch and wood block are revealed at 30 minute intervals for the sake of preservation. We had dinner at the rooftop restaurant, watched the sunset and stayed until the museum closed at 9:00 pm. A true gem, architecturally and artistically. Well worth the pricy admission fee
Beware of booking museum tickets with this site An intermediaria maybe selling and they give a time For the Oslo museum visit. And send you the booking information but never the tickets When you asks for it they would not respond since I understand now they are in a different time zone of the world. We got to the Oslo Munch museum and had to buy The tickets again
Hi! Tickets are sent via email the day before the activity date, as stated in the activity page information before booking. We're not on a different time zone, I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion. Please check your emails the day before as that's when tickets are sent!
The Munch Museum is well-organized (on multiple floors) and offers various activities to experience along the way. The \"downside\" is the wait to see the most famous work (exhibited in three variants with different times to be able to see it).
Remarkably well laid out; tremendous tribute to Munch. The range of composition surprised us. Frankly, his exploration of primary emotions is still powerfully revolutionary even today.
Do not book with this ticket provider. We never got our tickets. They blamed Viator. This ticket provider is a total scam. We had to buy brand new tickets directly from the museum. Fortunately, we got in right away, but the tickets purchased through this application, never arrived. We are disputing the claim with our Credit Card company. Do not book these tickets. This provider is a scam artist.
A uniquely beautiful location. Fantastic pictures! Impressively curated, bright and inviting. Highly recommended!
