We had an outstanding food tour experience in Osaka with Miwa from Oishii Tour Company, and she was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Japan. From the very beginning, Miwa showed exceptional knowledge of Osaka’s food culture and a genuine ability to tailor the experience to us as individuals. Rather than following a fixed itinerary, she adapted the tour based on our preferences, which made the whole experience feel personal, relaxed, and completely unforced. The selection of venues was excellent, offering a wide and authentic range of Osaka’s street food and local dishes, all carefully chosen for quality and character. At each stop, Miwa provided clear, engaging explanations about the food, its preparation, and its cultural significance, striking the perfect balance between informative and enjoyable without ever feeling scripted or overwhelming. What really set Miwa apart was her attentiveness and natural professionalism. She ensured we experienced a great variety of food while always being mindful of our pace, comfort, and individual choices. This created a very easygoing atmosphere and allowed us to simply enjoy the experience. Overall, Miwa’s warmth, enthusiasm, and deep local knowledge made this tour genuinely memorable. We would highly recommend both her and Oishii Tour Company to anyone visiting Osaka and wanting an authentic food experience.

We joined this food tour and had 3 stops at different restaurants. Our guide for the evening was Kaori who was amazing. So friendly, knowledgable and a great host for the evening. There were three of us on the tour from our family, including my 21 year old son. We were joined by another couple and we all had a great time. We had Wagyu steak, tempura and okonomiyaki as our three stops. The steak was by far our favourite, but all three were delicious. It was nice to try foods at restaurants that we probably wouldn’t have discovered on our own. The fact that our son was full at the end of the trip was a good sign. Overall, a highly recommended tour.

Kaori showed us around Gion in Kyoto. It was fantastic. Great food and a great time. Highly recommend!

What with our very knowledgeable and fun guide Kaori and some delicious Japanese food and drink, it made for a very enjoyable and memorable evening in Osaka!

Kai was very enthusiastic and jolly. She took us to some delicious restaurants which we would not have found without her. An informative and entertaining tour. I would highly recommended doing this.

Fantastic food tour with Kai who was so friendly and very, very knowledgeable, taking us to various places in Osaka, both restaurants and street food to stop and eat. She is very good company and to be honest she showed us places and suggested food which we wouldn't have done by ourselves. It was very enjoyable, the food and company were excellent and I highly recommend.

My family and I did one of the night tours in Osaka. The gyoza, okonomiyaki, and yanikuku were delicious. Thank you, Kaori and team, for providing a fantastic and memorable gastronomic experience in the Kitchen of Japan!

This food tour was absolutely outstanding and our guide, Miwa, was utterly delightful. We could not have asked for a better person to help us enjoy the stunning delights of food in Osaka than Miwa. If I could give 7 stars - I would definitely do that , Kaori was excellent , took us to rhree restaurants with different Japanese meals and drinks and finished off with street side dessert, answered all our numerous questions about Japanese food and culture very patiently , we would be lost without her expertise and guidance , well done and thanks , we recommend this tour wholeheartedly

Amazing fun experience with Maura Kai…! We were only in Osaka for one night but made the most of it with an exciting food tour of Temma. It felt more like a night out with a friend…! A supermarket tour to look at ingredients and then 4 places to eat, make sure you leave room. Okonomiyski pancakes, wagyu grill, tempura and chocolate taiyaki all paired with great beer, wine and sake…! Mayura Kai is a chef so brings excellent insight. She speaks great English. Highly recommended.
