Oregons Strände mit über 300 Meilen öffentlicher Küste werden mit ihren dramatischen Offshore-Felsformationen und wiedergeborenen Strandstädten begeistern. Diese Tour führt entlang einer der malerischsten Fahrrouten des Landes, US HWY 101. Wir verbringen den Tag damit, atemberaubende Strände zu erkunden und atemberaubende Küstenblicke zu genießen.

Unser zentraler Treffpunkt und Abholpunkt! Ein wunderschöner Stadtpark mitten in Downtown Portland.
Nach der morgendlichen Fahrt entlang des Sunset Highway, Oregons erster Autoroute durch die Cascade Mountain Range, wandern wir durch einen üppigen Sitka-Fichtenwald zum Ecola State Park. Wir werden das Fahrzeug für einen Moment zurücklassen und diese Küstenoase erkunden. Wenn es die Zeit erlaubt, können wir auch durch den Wald zurück zum indischen Strand fahren. Diese abgelegene Tasche verbirgt sich vor einem Großteil des Sommers und ist ein beliebter Treffpunkt für Strandkameraden.
Nachdem wir den Ecola State Park verlassen haben, werden wir sicher den Haystack Rock besuchen, einen See am Ufer des Cannon Beach, der durch seine Ähnlichkeit mit seinem Namensvetter berühmt wurde. Es wird behauptet, dass es sich um das dritthöchste „Gezeitenzahn“ -Gebäude der Welt handelt. Es handelt sich um ein riesiges Basaltgestein, das vor über 15 Millionen Jahren von Lavaflüssen geformt wurde! Hier spazieren wir am Sandstrand entlang, beobachten wunderschöne Vögel, die den Felsen umrunden, und wenn wir Glück haben und die Flut draußen ist, werden wir viele Arten von Meerestieren in ihrem natürlichen Gezeitenpool-Lebensraum sehen.
Die Stadt Cannon Beach wird die Kulisse für unsere Mittagspause sein. Die Gäste verteilen sich zur freien Verfügung und können aus mehreren kleinen Stadtrestaurants wählen, die jeweils ihre eigenen vielseitigen Menüs bieten.
Am Nachmittag fahren wir auf der berühmten Pacific Coast Scenic Byway (Highway 101) in Richtung Süden, um weitere Küstengebiete zu erkunden.
Nach dem Blick auf Neahkahnie werden wir einen Stopp einlegen, um den atemberaubenden Ausblick auf den höchsten fahrbaren Punkt entlang der Küste von Oregon zu genießen!
Wir werden in den Oswald West State Park reisen, der nach dem Gouverneur von Oregon, Oswald West, benannt wurde. Gouverneur West hat die Garantie, dass unsere weitläufige Küste von Oregon für die öffentliche Nutzung offen bleibt. Unser Stopp im State Park wird abhängig von der Flut und der Gruppe sein. Wir können eine kurze, bewaldete Wanderung entlang des Short Sand Creek unternehmen, der sich zu einer als Smugglers Cove bekannten Küstenlinie aus Treibholz öffnet. Eine Variable von dieser Haltestelle kann ein kurzer Besuch von Hug Point sein, wenn die Gezeiten niedrig sind. Hier können wir normalerweise um den Punkt herumlaufen, um einen kleinen Küstenwasserfall zu sehen!
Am Ende des Tages kehren wir in die Innenstadt von Portland zurück, mit einem Abstecher in den Director Park.

A wonderful day. Patrick our guide was very informative friendly and entertaining. The weather was mostly with us and we had some gorgeous views. Would very much recommend this tour to anyone.
Aaron was so knowledgable and I learned so much along the way. The route we took was perfect and so gorgeous. So much nostalgia for me seeing where the Goonies rode their bikes, the hill and of course the rock. Had the best time.
The trip was wonderful with incredible views and locations, a knowledgeable and fun guide who had great portland tips. Would definitely recommend and would book again.
Our first time in OR we decided to explore the area by booking some Viator tours. The coast tour was amazing. Our guide Eric took such great care of us. I can’t imagine having a better experience visiting Ecola park, Canon beach, Sandy beach and everything in between.
Only stopped at 2 locations due to weather and accident. I know neither of those things were anyone’s fault but they made for a disappointing experience. Also I went on another all day tour with another company a few days ago and they had granola bars which was very helpful when you’re moving all morning from one stop to another and lunch isn’t for a few more hours (and I’m a tourist, it’s not like I can grab granola bars from home). Also the guide on the other tour gave us ideas on where to eat and visit around Portland. That was mostly missing here. But anyway the tour guide did the best he could under the circumstances. But overall experience was disappointing.
Hi Caroline, We are sorry about the circumstances regarding weather and the accident on the Coastal Highway during your tour. Your guide was in frequent contact with us throughout the day and as you said, he tried his best to get you beach access and to get to as many stops as possible. It does appear you drove the entire route of our tour yesterday, though we understand the weather did not cooperate for ideal views at some of the stops. If you are ever back in Portland we would love to have you experience the tour again the way intended, as both uncooperative weather and road conditions are unusual!

The destination was everything that I expected and more. The tour guide was not that great. She was silent for the majority of the tour. She shared nothing or very little about the surrounding areas that we passed through or visited. She was not very informative or engaging. She was polite and seemed kind. However, she was not an active guide. She also never walked with us or made herself present at any of the destinations.

This tour was a very pleasant and thorough introduction to the Oregon coastline, particularly the most charming and scenic spots of the Northern Oregon coast. David was a personable and knowledgeable guide. His enthusiasm for the area was infectious and much appreciated! Highly recommended!!
