Nice trip away from the city. Very cozy towns and happy to see two out of three. Good guide and English trans
Wonderful experience! Our guide was knowledgeable, witty, and an absolute delight. He made the tour both fun and educational, and he kept us laughing the whole time. Shirakawa-go and Gokayama are both stunning, and well worth the visit.

We took the tour with my father who’s in his late 70s my teenagers and my sister and brother-in-law. My dad said this tour was his favorite part of the trip. It was great to travel to these world heritage sites. The drive out was beautiful and our tour guide shared lots of information about what we would be seeing. We had lots of time at each stop to explore. The lunch stop was great and everyone enjoyed the food.

We are delighted to hear that your father considered this tour the highlight of your trip, and that your whole family—from your teenagers to your sister and brother-in-law—enjoyed the experience together. It's great to know you appreciated the beautiful scenery, the guide's commentary, the time to explore both Shirakawa-go and Gokayama at your own pace, and the lunch as well. Thank you again for choosing our tour.
Very interesting and well-organized tour to learn about the villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama. The guide shared very useful information and gave us enough time to explore at our own pace. It is worth trying the typical food in a gassho house to complete the experience. Highly recommended!

We (family of four with two kids in their 20’s) truly enjoyed seeing these very special villages on our day trip from Kanazawa. The scenery was stunning - from the mountains to the wildflowers to the just-planted rice paddies. We appreciated the time to wander on our own in both villages and to visit one of the houses in Shirawaka-go that had a lot of information about the villagers’ lifestyle. The lunch was delicious, and we truly appreciated the company’s arranging for wonderful vegetarian meals for my husband and daughter.
Thank you very much for joining our Shirakawa-go & Gokayama Tour and for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful 5-star review. We are delighted to hear that you and your family enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the peaceful countryside of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama. The rice paddies, freshly planted at this time of year, create a beautiful green carpet across the landscape. If you visit in autumn, you'll be able to enjoy a completely different view, with the fields turning a brilliant golden color. We are also pleased that you enjoyed your lunch and appreciated the vegetarian meals we arranged. We do our best to accommodate vegetarian and other dietary requests whenever possible; however, as meal arrangements must be made in advance, we may not be able to accommodate requests made at the last minute. We kindly ask guests with dietary requirements to let us know at the time of booking or as early as possible. Thank you again for your thoughtful review. We truly appreciate your support and hope the wonderful memories of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama will stay with you for years to come.
Beautiful scenery and very well organized. Really worth the day trip. Lunch was great as well. The villages are just gorgeous.
Thank you very much for joining our Shirakawa-go & Gokayama Day Trip and for taking the time to leave us a wonderful 5-star review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the traditional villages, and the lunch included in the tour. Shirakawa-go and Gokayama are both UNESCO World Heritage sites, each offering its own unique charm and glimpse into Japan’s rich cultural heritage. We are also pleased to know that you found the tour well organized and worthwhile. Your kind words are a great encouragement to our team. Thank you again for traveling with us.
I had a great time on this tour with Kuroda as the guide. He provided information on the bus in Japanese and English. He was both professional and funny! There was sufficient time to explore each own on our own. Lunch was excellent. Gokayama was a hidden gem that shouldn’t be missed!
Thank you very much for joining our Shirakawa-go and Gokayama tour and for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour, the lunch, and the opportunity to explore each destination at your own pace. We are also pleased that our guide helped make your day both informative and enjoyable. As you mentioned, Gokayama is truly a hidden gem. While it shares World Heritage status with Shirakawa-go, it remains relatively unknown to many international visitors. One of Gokayama’s unique charms is its peaceful atmosphere, which allows visitors to experience the traditional culture and way of life of a living World Heritage community where people continue to reside and maintain long-standing traditions. Thank you again for your kind words and for joining our tour. We are delighted that you were able to discover the unique charm of Gokayama. We will continue striving to provide experiences that showcase the rich cultural and natural heritage of the Hokuriku region.
The weather was sadly very wet for our visit but both villages and the surrounding countryside were beautiful. Our guide was very knowledgeable and the set meal was delicious. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the villages and how the houses were constructed.
Thank you very much for joining our Shirakawa-go and Gokayama tour and for taking the time to share your kind review. Although the weather was unfortunately rainy on the day of your visit, rainy conditions often make the greenery and traditional thatched roofs appear even more vibrant, creating a unique atmosphere that differs from the scenery on a sunny day. We are delighted to hear that you were able to enjoy the beauty of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama. We are also pleased that you enjoyed both the guide’s commentary and the meal prepared with local ingredients. It is especially rewarding to know that you found the history of the villages and the construction techniques of the gassho-style houses fascinating. Thank you again for your wonderful feedback and perfect rating.
