We loved our driver and our horse "Flash"! It was my first time visiting central park and this was definitely a great way to see lots of the park in a short amount of time.
Beautiful park. Knowledgeable driver. Too expensive for the time. I was told 45 minutes..more like 35 minutes.
Our carriage driver Omer and our horse Sophia were both absolutely amazing!!! Omer was informative, personable, funny and genuinely nice, and he treated Sophia with such respect and a certain gentle care. Sophia was also an absolute sweetheart, and is absolutely gorgeous and well taken care of. Highly recommend and we will certainly be taking another ride at some point, and will request Omer and Sophia specifically!!!
It was a nice experience but some confusion at pick up time so we started a bit late. Unfortunately that may have been the reason we had a 30 minute ride instead of the expected 45☹️
It was beautiful just riding though the park. It was a nice experience. It did start to rain at the end but didn't take away frome the riding experience.
The short carriage ride does not show you enough of the park, so we booked the 45 minute ride, but it is so expensive. But we really did enjoy it. A good tip is that you pay the same price for the ride for 1,2,3,or 4 people! So I suggest you find another couple to go with you and share the high cost.
We joined a horse named Valentino, and his driver who gave us a very pleasant 20 minute tour of one corner of Central Park, past the Plaza hotel, the Carousel, the midway and the pond. The driver was very knowledgeable and told us a lot of interesting anecdotes about the history of the park. All in all I'd recommend, but it does cost $54 for 20 minutes, so walking might be a better option if on a budget or wanting to see more of the park. Driver also let our baby feed the horse a carrot after the ride!
We booked the short carriage ride around Central Park via Tripadvisor before we left the UK. Although the ride was short (around 20 minutes), it was very enjoyable and our driver/guide gave us some information about the area. Central Park covers such a massive area we explored more of it on foot but the carriage ride gave us an early taste of the Park and surrounding area. I would recommend booking in advance as it's then paid for and you just need to pay the tip.
We enjoyed our short ride round some of Central Park. The driver was lovely and gave us plenty of information; his horse was well cared for and we had quite a long discussion about how the drivers choose and train their horses to cope with the noise and traffic. At the end of winter, I have to admit that Central Park itself was not the most exciting place ever, but it was still a good thing to do!
We started exploring Central Park on foot before realising how vast it is, then opting for a horse and carriage ride. Amazing and unforgettable experience. The driver was very knowledgeable and took some amazing photographs for us.
