Amazing cruise. Great support from Mona Rahin throughout the whole trip. Our personal guide, Ahmed, was also incredible. Boat is very comfortable, great room and spacius bathroom. Food is great. I highly recommend this tour. All tours are included, except the balloon ride(highly recommended) and the Abu Simbel tour(I could not do it due to my return flight time). One small recommendation for the boat is to have more shaded areas on top, as it was extremely hot in May. But minor inconvenience, not to discourage taking this trip.
Excellent cruise which allows visits to so many wonderful historic sites. All staff very helpful. Food was great and boat clean and comfortable. By far the best aspect of our cruise was our guide; Ahmed. By far the best guide we have ever had. He was a wonderful person, kind and considering anything possible to make this an amazing experience. His knowledge and passion for Egyptology was outstanding. We can’t praise Ahmed enough, he made our holiday!
Went on a cruise from Aswan to Luxor. Visited Com Ombo, Edfu, Karnak, Luxor, Valley of the Kings. Although the cruise itself was not what I expected, everything else was fantastic. I would like to express our gratitude for the expertise and professionalism to Ms. Mona (Monalisa) who organised our trip. At every step, the guides waited for us and guided us with professional explanations and smile. All of them were great. But, Mona went an extra mile when she called us on the boat (we did not have internet and it was not possible to get in touch , unless she called us and sorted out my worries. I would recommend the trip because the sites are fantastic.
Though the boat was a little tired, the food and service on board were fantastic. Cruising the Nile, witnessing the life it brings to the region was very special. As for our guide, Shakour was absolutely amazing. So knowledgeable, interested and interesting and proud, he made the trip memorable on several levels. And also worthy of special mention, Mona's communication by WhatsApp throughout. From booking to during to after the trip, Mona was quite simply amazing!
The description says five star boat, but I would give it a 3 star. It’s old, with the room being a little tired and bathroom definitely needing an update and good cleaning. The bathroom had hair all over the floor, tub and toilet. The bath towels were very dingy. But the AC worked well and having a sliding door to the river was lovely. Communication/information was lacking. The front desk didn’t understand English very well. The man who dropped us at the ship said dinner was at 8:00 every night. Later another guest told us it started at 7:30, but sometimes people were eating at 7:00. ?! We don’t know what time it actually started. I’m not sure who should have communicated with us- the tour company or the ship. There were some announcements on the main deck, but they were in German. Be aware that smoking is allowed everywhere outside. There is no designated area in the back away from those who do not smoke. The food was varied and pretty good. Prices for water and soda weren’t too bad- 40/65 pounds water and 80 for coke. The massage fellow was super friendly and fun to visit with. The other workers we came across were all pleasant. We thought we were getting a “private tour” as that’s what the Viator booking info said. But we had two others every day in our “private tour” and another girl another day. They were lovely people, but I wasn’t expecting that. The tour guide, Ahmed, is very educated in Egyptian history. It would have been preferred if he’d have asked what kind of tour we would want- quick summary or long history class. And be more attentive to toilets stops and suggesting buy a water before touring around since we didn’t understand how long we’d be standing out in the sun. But we enjoyed getting to know him and learning from him.
It was fantastic the deal I had with Mona at first, and then with the guide Ahmed who made us a guide in Luxor and Asuan. The Service of the Nile Crown III cruise first.all very attentive. We were delighted.
A wonderful experience, highly recommended, the cruise is 5 stars, the food delicious, the cruise staff attentive at all times. Communication with the person in charge of making the arrangements for my Mona Rahim cruise, was very attentive that we were comfortable and at all times communicating with us. The guide who was with us for three days was excellent, the detailed explanation of the historical events was magnificent, in addition to his punctuality and patience with the group, allowed me to take my photos for my memories. Thank you Mohamad (Shakour). Really, if you're traveling to Egypt, you have to book this cruise.
I booked some day tours and a river cruise through Egypt tours portal, this review is about the cruise portion. Mohamed Eldaw led our tour on a nile river cruise from Luxor to Aswan stopping of at sights and temples along the way. The cruise was lovely the boat well designed plenty of space, clean and comfortable. The cleaning crew and luggage porter's were great and I missed my opportunity to tip them . Mohamed let us know each night the start time and itinerary for the following day, we had group members leaving and joining each day not sure how he kept track but he did. He was very informative at the temples and made sure we were given the story of the temple while in the shade... sounds simple but makes a difference and I saw many groups standing in the sun being lectured to... Mohamed was very conversational in his delivery and provided alternative opinions making it enjoyable. I thought I was fit but I don't cope with heat or steps....and there are soooo many steps everywhere!!!!! So I did struggle a little and my stomach was not coping so on the first day of the cruise I spent a few hours unwell in my cabin and while I didn't need anything Mohamed kept in touch via WhatsApp to make sure I was okay which when travelling solo is nice to have. And if course the ice creams a surprise treat from Mohamed that made me feel like a five year old!! They were just what we needed!! Mohamed, was professional, caring and had a sense of humour thankyou!
All went perfectly fine, boat was nice, great food, great crew, amazing guide! 100% recommended, especially for solo
I presume the itinerary changes so it was difficult to get information until a day before which was nerve-wracking. Overall this was a great trip on a lovely spacious boat. We were allocated an outward facing cabin which was great (boats can be moored together so can block the view). Food was varied and very nice, and most of the staff were excellent. We were told by our guide only to tip at the end in an envelope provided which was useful but didn't prevent man who took our bags to our cabin being quite aggressive in looking for a tip. We were moored for the first 24 hours before the boat left Luxor which was fine to do the sightseeing and relax on the boat. Our guide was great but we found the intensity of being guided too much. Our optional hot air balloon trip was spectacular and highly recommended but a very early start like most trips. One huge problem for us was that a vendor attached his boat to our boat, and was right outside our cabin window calling "hello" for over five hours, even when we asked four times for the staff to do something about it - we were unwell at the time and were trying to sleep. Nothing was done to get rid of this man even when the boat manager promised to do something about it. He was there attached when our boat was moving pretty fast so I don't know why he was allowed to remain attached. The trip to the Temple of Philae as ruined by being too short - just one hour and we were herded about rather than being allowed to enjoy ourselves at our own pace. There is a lovely cafe there with resident cats that I would've liked to have stopped at at leisure rather than a quick drink. Overall highly recommended but be aware you are on the guide's schedule not your own. We were for example picked up at Luxor Airport at 8.30am after a 3am start and taken straight to Karnak and Luxor temples, rather than taken to the boat to offload and change - we could've done the trips later in the afternoon when the boat was stationary until the next day for example. So there was a lot of rushing about when we could've been taken at a more leisurely pace.
