The glow paint wasn’t worth doing. Would have been better is there was a backlight in the kayak so you could glow the whole time. You spend all this time putting on glow paint just to take a pic with a black light before setting out and that’s it as far as the glowing goes. Then another pic by the guide when you return and most of the pics turn out blurry. Should learn to adjust settings or invest in a good camera that can take pics at night. Then they want a tip on top of the expensive one hour tour. Overall the tour was ok. Not buggy at all out on the water which was nice though. $50-$60 would have been more reasonable.
This was absolutely a great experience. The resort is a beautiful location to start the tour and our guide Doug made the trip fun from the moment we walked up. Got to see some really small sea life and a bunch of larger tarpon. This a great activity for families and friends. It's both fun and educational and Doug really kept us laughing with his dad jokes. Safety precautions were spot on and high priority
Doug was a great guide - we learned about the marine life of St John and got to see quite a few tarpon down below. None were jumping, but a great time nonetheless!
The experience was awesome. Doug was our guide. He took pictures of our family with glow paint on and even did a short video for us. At the end of the kayak tour he attempted to send us the pics and video but they were not downloading so he said once he connected to WiFi the link would work. We waited. The next day I still couldn’t get the link to load so I sent a message asking if he could resend it stating it wasn’t working. I got no response. So I messaged him the next day and still nothing. The third day I emailed the link I had and sent yet another message via text. I was asked my name and date of the tour which I provided and heard nothing back. I emailed again 48 hours later and was finally told the pics and video had been erased. So I ended up with no pics!! Very disappointing.
Isabel was a perfect guide for our night kayaking experience. She was very friendly and knowledgable. She explained what we were seeing in the water. She also tried to learn some facts about the kayakers. She definitely made the experience a great one.
It was absolutely amazing the water was warm, the instructor Bernard was friendly and very knowledgeable of the fish and the ocean and the history of the island. We saw Alligator gar and Atlantic halibut and many other fish species. We got to paint each other with neon paint and our kayak had two led lights to help us see the fish better. I would absolutely do this again if we had the time it was a cheap and quick about 45 mins experience. My wife and I had a blast. The fish were jumping out of the water about five feet into the air, they were dancing under us in the water just amazing
Doug was fantastic! Doug knew alot about the fish and gave us pointers for the night. Would totally do this again if Doug is our guide!
As someone that’s afraid of large bodies of water, i had the best time!! Bernard was amazing and provided a fun experience.
Amazing! We had sooo much fun. Doug, our guide was super cool. This is definitely a family friendly must do! We loved it.
A wonderful evening activity- kayaks built for 2, and they are engineered not to tip. You can wear water shoes or go barefoot, wear water-ready clothes or not. The clear kayaks with light straps are easy to paddle and those lights truly attract the fish. We had minnows hopping in the kayak, tarpin literally hitting the side and a bat or two zipping by. The 830p time slot was fantastic. Doug is a top tier guide as well. Highly recommend! And bring your camera in the boat, you will be fine unless you drop it!
